I have simple question, Is mining still proffesion ""must have"" for Engineering?

Mining was never "must have" for Engineering. You have always had the option of buying the materials you need from the auction house or from other players directly.

I know. But this is sometimes every expensive. Iam from Argent Dawn and people are usualy crazy with cost numbers.

If you're worried about cost then you need more gold before you consider whether or not it's a 'must-have'.

I say roll mining.

Edit: Consider having an alt for farming, with 2 gathering professions.

there are no "must have" profession pairs (One might argue Tailoring-enchanting, and I might listen). You can get a gathering profession to suppliment a crafting, but there are no BoP materials from a gathering that is "must have" for a crafting.
