Do I need to upgrade my computer

My build is 3 years old as of this month (time flies!) and I am having more and more lag issues.

    So, some questions:

    1. Will lag increase if I use 2 screens? I currently have a 21" display and dual box on it.
    2. Should I upgrade my computer?
    3. Is there any component that I should replace?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Here is what I'm running:

AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 6-Core 3.3GHz, 3.7GHz Turbo Socket
    SAMSUNG 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB
    SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP
    GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990X + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
    CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
FirePower ModXStream Pro 700W 80Plus Semi-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply 700MXSP
64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium

    Difficult situation.

    CPU
    - Without switching over to Intel (at least i5. i7 probably better for your multi-boxing) you can't really upgrade your CPU. Your Phenom X6 1100T has nearly the same single-thread performance as the "current-gen" FX 8350 and even the current flag ship FX-9590 with its massive 220W TDP is only about 10% faster in games. You could keep your current RAM, so you would need a new CPU and Motherboard (preferably Z97 for additional overclocking).

    Graphics Card
For a single screen and only one instance of WoW, your 6870 would still be ok, but already dual-boxing is pretty tough for it. So with two screens (and probably higher settings for each WoW instance) you definitely need something better. Your PSU is fine for basically any single card (and even some SLI or Crossfire settings), so no worries here. Depending on your budget, you should look into cards in the $200 and upwards range. Minimum of 2GB VRAM is recommended, but i think all cards in that price range should have that. So minimum recommendation would be GTX 760 or Radeon 270x/280. Next step up would be in the range of a GTX 970 or Radeon 290 for around $330.

    Everything else
Your other components are still ok, but an SSD is always a nice addition that is independent from other upgrades.
Why do something simple, when there is a complicated way?
