    Question Todays moral question

Checking some old good shows and i noticed something special. (and very unique when it comes too original stuff)
    So here is a question.

Would you let a unknown elderly person you have never meet or seen, die in your house from a old age (not suicide)?
Just staying in your house till is passes. (70-90 years old)

...yeah i probaly would never do that...

    So what would you do.
    Don't sweat the details!!!

    Uhm, lol.

What is the alternative? If it was my place or the street, then yes. If it's my place or their place/elderly home/hospital? no, that would be weird and frankly irresponsible.

This question makes no sense without context.

Yea, that would be a no. Go die in your own house thank you very much.

There was an episode of King of The Hill that had the idea in it.

Unknown? No. Why would I? I have no motivation to do so, nor does the elderly person.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

Someone I do not know? Fuck no, we have excellent hospitals and hospices here that can take care of them better than I can.

Well...in the episode the old person keeps coming back too the house and is trying too die there. Even the police gets called.
Also this person even fakes the death in a newspaper so the family lowers the house defense.

I don't see how this is a question of ones morals, it would be a definite no from me, buzz off oldie.

I'd keep by their side until the ambulance arrives, but as for letting them stay in my house indefinitely until they cake it?

    Nope.

I think you have an obligation to help. So this old guy shows up at your door. Does he have Alzheimer's? Talk to him about what he wants to do. It's okay to tell him that you'll help for a day or two, but not forever. Get him in touch with social services or his family.

So help, but don't adopt the guy as your dependent.

Do this person have a emotional connection to this place, i.e being a childhood home that got sold and he moved out later?

I'm leaning towards no, he would get a better last time in a elderly home than i could give him.

There's no such thing as dying from "old age".

Unknown? Like this person is a complete stranger to me and everyone I know?

    No, I wouldn't.

However, if this was a person who had absolutely no one to turn to, I may have a change of heart.

Someone at 70 years old may have 20+ years to live, that's longer than I lived with my parents. They can bugger off, I'm not running a care home.

Can we eat them after they die?
