Didn't read the next page yet, but it's a thing of beauty if done well also. This is as close to the recipe I use as I could find in a link: http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/r...ed-pepper-soup

Me, age 7: Wonderbread, Kraft cheese, ketchup. Me, age 30's: Hmm... I wonder if a Camembert grilled cheese would go with a curried soup?

Let's all ride the Gish gallop.

Based on beer selection? Rattle and Hum

For fancier places, I'd go with Bonefish Grill. It's one of the fancier places in the area, which is a poorer part of the state, therefore we have to travel for fancy.[/QUOTE]

Someone gave my wife $100 gift card for there. I have never been there. All I know is it is supposed to be good, and also expensive.

There were a few Japanese and Italian restaurants back where I used to live that we went to on the rare occasion which were amazing, haven't visited any of them in years though.

Pappasito's Cantina in Houston - best Tex/Mex on earth. I'd say the wife and I go about once a month at least.

I don't know the names because I was following the group /blehehehe (probly had some wine also)
    - couple of THAI restaurants in Groningen
    - some Korean restaurants in Amsterdam, Rotterdam

But the best food I eat, I cook myself. So my favorite restaurant is home.

I can't get over how that's a somewhat popular dish at a restaurant. Back in Greece we make spaghetti with Mizithra usually when we just didn't have much else to cook for dinner. At least in my family.

As for the topic, here in the Seattle area:

Steak: Claim Jumper, once a month or two
Pizza: Sparta's Pizza and Pasta in Lynnwood
    Burgers: Five Guys
also, Acropolis Pizza in Everett, for their gyros, usually once a week
