    6.0 Weapon Enchants/Consumables

So i've heard Mongoose is actually going to be better than Dancing steel in 6.0 and that cata food/flask/pot are better than Mop ones.
    Anyone can confirm?
And as a general question what enchants/consumbales are rogues going to be using in 6.0?

Cata flasks are better http://wod.wowhead.com/item=58087 vs http://wod.wowhead.com/item=76084
Cata pots are better: http://wod.wowhead.com/item=58145 vs http://wod.wowhead.com/item=76089
Cato food is better: http://wod.wowhead.com/item=62669 vs http://wod.wowhead.com/item=74648

Weapons enchants are trickier though - these would require re-calculations (which for just 4 weeks might not be worth it).
Some of the older enchants are better though. I haven't looked at a BiS enchant list yet, but shouldn't be too hard to make one. But then again differences will be minimal.

Wow okay... I didn't know Blizzard fucked up the scaling this bad.

Does anyone have info on weapon enchant scaling? Will Mongoose in fact be better starting Tuesday? What about others?

    Well just going by proccs:
    Mongoose - 120 Agi + 30 Haste vs Dancing Steel - 103 Agi
I don't know if there's another factor that plays a role but just going by that Mongoose wins.

I can't really see them totally missing something so glaring as a Vanilla enchant being better than a current enchant, or flasks from a previous expac being better than current, but I guess anything is possible. Maybe some items just didnt get caught in their systems to apply/test the scaling changes.

If the above *is* correct, gonna get hotfixed quick lol.

Mongoose isn't a vanilla enchant. And you need to know what the proc rates are. Dancing steel has substantially higher uptime on live than mongoose.

Oh yea.. well.. that makes sense... I guess I was blinded by the nostalgia of using Mongoose again. Doesn't change the fact of Cataclysm consumables being better.

So they're higher agility procs, but probably lower procrate because of level. So still no reason to actually use them?

Cata Flasks/Food are better. But MoP enchants(at least weapon) should still be better than previous expansions, this is mostly because of uptimes and proc chance. MoP weapon enchants have ridiculous uptimes compared to older enchants.

That is assuming they proc like they did before. If mongoose is rppm at the same rate, it is obviously going to be better.

Hmm, old ench&food - but how about old legendary weapons - i.e. Warglaives?
How will they work after stat squish?
Comparing glaives stats&dps to 550 ilvl "new" UBRS items they look superior...

  15. #15
I just looked it up on wowhead and those 550 weapons have 3-4x the dps of the glaives...

  16. #16
    Hmm, 3-4 x dps? Strange...

You need to set WoWhead to Warlord, should be a little tick box up at the top.

Just in case anyone is buying/farming cata stuff after reading this thread/my comment: I'd hold off, as this might get fixed: https://twitter.com/WatcherDev/statu...19539466125312
