Perfect use would be on IF peak and during a trinket proc. However that might not always be possible. Concerning the CD just don't cap. If you have to delay for 24 seconds it doesn't matter, as long as your charges don't cap.

Alright I will try it tonight. Is there any macro/addon to track IF stacks?

Just use Weak Auras, create Icon -> set trigger to Aura -> Buffs -> Incanter's Flows, Check the box: Stacks
And then on the display tab adjust it to the size you want.

Jesus I'm only ilvl 550 and only sustaining around 6k on the dummies in Vale. ( 90 dummies ) as frost and fire spec.

Am I doing something wrong? I don't think so because my arms war at the same ilvl is also doing around 6-7k and they are faceroll atm

My Mage is ilvl 547 and currently I'm doing 6k as Arcane. That's partly why I was asking for item levels (thank you and Berlinia for including them), so I could figure out if it's just me or just that the gear scaling between around 550 to 575-580 is that absurd.

my combustions also seem shockingly low, other mages in similar gear are reporting 10k+ but im struggling to get above 5k - pre patch I was easily rocking 3-500k so I know how to get them, or atleast I did

Mastery might be low then, my mastery is 53% without buffs I believe and my "high" ignites range from 8.5k to 11k, I'd use combustion on anything higher then 8k though.
