There is a very interesting book in swedish about the 1981 incident; "Ubåt 137 : tio dagar som skakade Sverige" by Hellberg and Jörle. It's about 20 years old now so it can be a pain to find but it's really well worth the read.

That's bullshit. It's not the sub from 1916, because everyone knows the location of that sub - especially specialists like Ocean Team X. Also, a sub from 1916 wouldn't look that clean afaik.

Ocean X Team has previously made several discoveries such as shipwrecks and historical objects, including bottles of champagne from 1916 and the circular Baltic phenomenon.

Now they could mistake a sub for a champagne bottle..

Trouble is that the actual press release from the company doesnt state that.
I would not jump the gun on anything other than if its indeed a sub it is probably Russian (cyrillic markings on it).
However second hand reports compared to first hand press release is not something I would pay much attention to now that someone informed us of the actual press release which says nothing at all about it being 1916 (see my previous post).

Well, it's worth remembering that the very same team claimed to have found an UFO at the bottom of the sea a few years ago. So I wouldn't put it past them, perhaps not intentionally lying but they could be sensationalizing their findings a bit.

Well I think overall it is not what they have stated but there are funny comments about it, the ice age nonsense followed by an age estimation (by a diver?) and it is hilarious in itself

The length is the weird part, 20m, if it is a sub I don't know what it could be other than either a mini-sub(could me modern) or a regular sub hence WW1.
Until I get some official comment I hold the door open for being just about anything including some garbage attempt for PR and then probably an old crap sub, maybe even known location.
