    Quintessential Quintet - 90's don't count... fair/unfair?

Had 4 90's before 6.0.2, then got my 5th shortly after the patch and it did not give me the achievement.

    Quintessential Quintet:
"Reach maximum level with five different classes."

I'm going to assume that's because the game now thinks the maximum level is 100, which is why my 5th 90 did not count.

Considering we can only get to level 90 atm, I find this complete BS, either they should specify what level you need to get characters to (aka 100) or fix it so that 90's count up until WoD is released. What does everyone else think?

Was going to post links (including the terrible ticket response I got) but cannot as my account is new.

Well the achievement always said max level, so it makes sense that it now requires level 100. Personally I made sure to get it before 6.0 so I wouldn't have to level 5 characters to 100.

I think its pretty clear why 90's don't count (as I said before, they consider level 100 as max level) but how can you say that it makes sense when we can only reach level 90?

I don't see any logical justification for it to be this way, someone please enlighten me.

It is logical because the game is already Warlords of Draenor. The only thing that's restricted is that you can't visit Draenor yet, which doesn't have an effect on Achievements. There are many achievements currently in your tab that can't be completed. I fail to see how you think it doesn't make sense. Of course it's annoying and frustrating for you, but that doesn't mean it's illogical.

I think it's unfair. Understandable, but unfair. The max lvl is only 100 when we can reach lvl 100. Before that, it should be 90. The actual max. lvl should be 90. Of course, the system's max lvl is 100, but if we can only reach 90, the max lvl for the achiev should be 90!!!

Did you seriously have it planned out so you would hit it exactly in this one month window.

I did the same thing, and of course feel its unfair. I didn't think much about it, a quick heads up and I would have spent the couple hours to get it. Way better than me grinding the 5 to 100 now. Pretty lame.

I agree that it should count, as until we can level past 90, it is the maximum level. Just because the game files think the maximum is 100 doesn't mean that it is, its just faulty logic.

The achievement has been there for about 2 years. That's plenty of time to have leveled 5 characters to 90. It was also predictable this would happen in the pre-patch, so you should have finished it up before the patch went live or saved the effort for WoD. (the achievement was introduced in the MoP pre-patch and it was exactly the same scenario as it is now, level 85 was not considered max level.)

You waited all MoP to get the achievement, why does it matter if you have to wait an extra month now?

ty for assuming that i waited all expansion to do this. I just came back 1.5 months ago after quitting during cata (which is when i first started playing so I had no prior experience to the achievement changing in the pre-patch). They gave so many warnings in patch notes for other achievements and stuff that wouldn't be available or would be changing, why not put this in them as well?

Just think of it like this, we can get to level 100 but the experience gain service is down and blizz is working on a fix :]

Completely fair, MoP is over, doesn't matter if 90 is still the cap. You had enough time to get 5 90s, you didn't, now you've gotta wait 3 weeks (holy shit already) more and then however long it takes you to ding 100 on 5 of em. Recently came back or not, again doesn't matter as the game doesn't revolve around you (no offense). Unlike Challenge Modes, PvP season, Brawler's guild, etc. this achievement is not as rewarding, challenging or even important enough to deserve a warning.

You had a lot of time to get the achievement before 6.0 came out. I don't see how this unfair whatsoever.

We knew that max level was being switched to 100 and that everything in the game was being adjusted to it, so I guess it was just natural to assume that max level-required achievements would follow suite, no? The game is already Warlords of Draenor, not MoP. We just cannot access the rest of the expansion yet until it is officially released.

Besides, you can just have another go at it after WoD comes out.

Because it doesn't reward mounts or titles or anything that's going away? It's just a few achievement points and you DID have all expansion to do this regardless of your account's status.

This is EXACTLY why I pushed to get my 5th to 90 before the patch. I figured that would be the case.

My main issue is that it doesn't make sense. I don't like it when they make vague/stupid descriptions. I don't care too much for the achievement, as I will probably make 5 100's anyway, just a matter of principle for me.

also glad to know there are a lot of stuck up elitists here

I think it should count. Tbh, I don't like how they add unobtainable achievements in game (as well as sometimes leave no more (but previously) obtainable achievements rewarding points, although this gets fixed later) - I'd prefer if they added the achievements with the patches where they are obtainable.
