Top 5 PC Games of 2014?

    So far.

What would you say the top 5 PC games of this year are? I'm stumped as I don't really know. It's funny I can give a clear answer as to what I think the top 5 are for each console but can't on the machine I play most on!

    1. Arena Commander
    2. Elite 4
    3. Warlords of Draenor (I've played beta, and it's damn good)
    4. Reaper of Souls
    5. Walking Dead 2

    Honorary mention: Hearthstone

I do not play many games.

    1. Hearthstone
    2. Reaper of Souls
    3. Warlords of Draenor
    4. South Park the Stick of Truth
    5. Dragon Age Inquisition if its good. If not idk.

I would give Hearthstone game of the year for me. Im not that into Diablo but Reaper of souls improved the base game so much it earned the number 2 spot. I love WoW. South park was great. Dragon age looks to be good but we will see.

Haven't played many of the new heavy games like Mordor or Alien since my PC atm is very low-tier, but here goes:

    1. Dark Souls II
    2. Hearthstone
    3. Civilization: Beyond Earth
    4. Shovel Knight
    5. Divinity: Original Sin

Dark souls II - Shovel Knight - Shadow of mordor - IDK :3

DSII is good, extremely good, but has some shortcommings that DS1 did better

Cod has a new campaign, new weapons, new multiplayer levels every year. Zelda has been recycling the same weapons, villains, and dungeons since the 80's. Zelda recycles enough to make cod blush. The same weapons, villains, dungeons, and princess in every single Zelda for the most part. It's almost as cheesy as bowser vs Mario round 35

I beg to differ, SoM got huge reviews, DS2 too, SK too, Bayonetta 2 was stellar, hardly a lackluster year.

Had forgotten South park :P! and havent played gta yet, pc master race takes long to reach it 8'(... will maybe get it on ps3.

None of the major titles actually impressed me, even GTA was rather "meh".

    Games i found interesting were.

    Transistor
    Wolfenstein: The new order
    Divinity original sin.
    Dark souls 2
    The Wolf among us

I didn't fins all of them but they atleast kept me interesting, Dreamfall chapters is also proving to might be worthy of an adventure game of the year but there are several good adventures coming out each year now with telltale.

    2. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
    3. Banished (not sure if its a 2014 game but i just recently found it and its infuriatingly addicting)
    4. Hearthstone
    5. D3: RoS

took me this thread to realize that i really havent played many recent titles...

I can't do a top 5, as I don't think I've even played 5 pc games from this year alone, but I want to give special mention to Southpark Stick of Truth, I had such a blast playing this , and it was such a pleasant surprise from my 'tentative' expectations.

Am I the only one who thinks oxygen usage is a horrible concept in BL: the Pre-Sequel?

    Edit, as question is OT

    In no order:
    Inc WoD
    Shadow of Mordor
    Stick of Truth
    RoS
    BL:PS

    1. Europa Univeralis 4 (three expansions released this year so counting it )
    2. Divinity: Original Sin
    3. Borderlands 2
    4. Wasteland 2
    5. Child of Light

And because I always like doing more.....
Most disappointing game: Thief 2014. I wanted to like this game; and I have a feeling that if I didn't play through Dishonored like 20 times and love it to death, it would have held up better. It was, overall, fun. But it just felt... less. Focus system>power system, for example. The world felt more restrained, confined; choices were basically "take this route, or take this route, or..... ok have fun" whereas Dishonored had an amazingly novel approach to an open game.. one that despite how varied it could be didn't have you trudging for 10 minutes again and again through the same net of streets and such. And many other things. In other words, the game was completely eclipsed by a similar game in every imaginable theater from gameplay to graphics to storyline.

Most hopeful game (ie haven't played it yet but am very certain that it could knock something off the top 5 list once I get my hands on it): Civilization Beyond Earth

    5. Far Cry 4
    4. Far Cry 4
    3. Far Cry 4
    2. Far Cry 4
    1. Far Cry 4

It doesn't even matter that it isn't out yet.

Um...since I've been playing it for the entire year, I'll say Mists of Pandaria. WoD is coming out so late in the year that I'll vote for it in 2015 instead.

Archeage was close to making the list, I loved it up until level 30 and for a while beyond but in the end I lost interest fast. And no, I'm not one who goes through many games. Hoping it'll change as I purchase a Wii U and PS3 next year.

I tried to try Archeage, but the game wouldn't install properly and the support wasn't provided to help fix it so I was like awww, meh.
