    A problem in Fantasy Fighting?

I notice that many works of fantasy it just seems they use the elements of swords and armor wrong. Don't try to cut through armor with a sword, that's a good way to dull or even break your sword. Swords were actually used to cut the joints or any part left unprotected, hammers, axes and flails are more likely to break armor than swords or spears can. It just seems like in fantasy, armor seems very weak and something easily broken.

realism is often less fun/exciting in a story, so people take some artistic liberties and exaggeration to make things "better".

In games in particular there is also gameplay to be considered, which has to be fun and therefore beats realism.

You can hardly take realism in to the covers of a fantasy realm. It is difficult. Actually, most games.
FOMO: "Fear Of Missing Out", also commonly known as people with a mental issue of managing time and activities, many expecting others to fit into their schedule so they don't miss out on things to come. If FOMO becomes a problem for you, do seek help, it can be a very unhealthy lifestyle..
