In rats? Seriously, I hope it is successful. But I been hearing over the years so many remarks about cures for cancer and today, 30 years later, the death rate for cancer of the panaceas is just about the same. Have know several who have died the last few years from lung cancer too.

Same. Or the cure for aging. Both will achieve my goal of seeing us spread out to other planets. I want to witness at least a colony on the moon, and a manned visit to Mars before I die. Im 23 but pretty unhealthy so I imagine ill die in about 50 years with the way medical technology is improving. Hopefully both of my dreams come true before I go. Originally Posted by Didactic

Ftl Travel
Cure or dramatic slowing down of aging
Cure of most major diseases
Colonization of our Solar system
Weather control
Earth deflection shield to 100% prevent asteroids or meteors.
Internet that can travel much faster so that Someone on Mars could play WoW on an Earth server with sub 200 Ping.
3d printing going mainstream and being affordable.
Smart homes like from futuristic movies.
Cure for fat people. I want to eat what I want and not gain weight.

Considering my Grandmother is dying from a cancerous brain tumor, and other of my relatives have died because of Cancer. I would definitely like to see a cure to the disease. Too many good people die to Cancer every year.

As a medical professional, I can say with most certainty there isn't a cure for cancer. Cancer is your own cells mutated into immortality and malignancy.
