There was a crane fly in my room last night and I spent a good 15 mins trying to catch it with a jar and then I released her(?) outside! That was my good deed for the day.

For the record, Spiders, scorpions, millipedes, centipedes, ticks, rolly pollies, and deep sea isopods are NOT insects.

A handy way of determing if something is an insect:

Does the species have six legs?

If the answer is no, it isn't an insect. No matter how gangly and bug-like it may look.

I wont go screaming from a room if I see one, but if there's one hanging out in the ceiling corner, I'll keep an eye on it. I hate the way they fly in loopy circles.

Yeah, crane flies kinda freak me out a little too, even though I know they can't do anything bad to me and they actually eat mosquitoes. I think it's because of the number of times I've had one decide my face was a good place to fly.

I once saw one with an abdomen as big around as my pinky finger. Wasn't sure if it was real at first.

No idea why, but house centipedes. It might be the fact that one day I woke up and my girlfriend at the time was still sleeping and one was sitting on her shoulder right in front of my face lol

Certain mosquitoes because they carry diseases. Wasps and hornets because holy fuck they hurt. I'm okay with pretty much any other insects.

Don't worry those are harmless. For myself as someone who's owned several scorpions, tarantulas, giant millipede, and a goliath birdeater I can't stand giant centipedes. Damn things are just to fast and to aggressive throw in how bad the venom is and that's just a whole lot a nope.
