Hello all,
The time has come for me to finally build a PC. After doing some research I have come up with the parts stated below. I would like some input on these and see if I need to change anything, before I make my purchase in about 2 weeks.
Main Parts:
CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K
MoBo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger
GPU: ASUS STRIX GTX 980
Heatsink: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3
PSU: Cooler Master V-Series Semi-Modular 650W
Storage (SSD): Samsung EVO 840 250GB
Storage (HDD): Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Windowed Black Pearl
Monitor:
Monitor: Eizo Foris FG2421 Black
Misc.:
Fans: Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition High Airflow 140mm
Speakers: Logitech Z200 Black
Controller: Xbox 360 Controller Wired.
Price: ~€1867,-
I haven't included prices on the components since most have a variance of about €30 to €50.
Budget: €2.000,-
Resolution: 1080p at 120 Hz.
Games / Settings Desired: WoW, DotA 2, Witcher 3, Skyrim, also enjoy a bit of shooting every now and then. At Maximum settings.
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc): Non at the moment. I do plan on capturing boss kills for my guild, but that shouldn't be worth the i7.
Country: the Netherlands.
Parts that can be reused: I have 1.600mHz 8GB Low Profile Corair Vengeance 1,5V at the moment.
Do you need an OS?:Yes, I will purchase Windows 8.1, but this will be bought outside of this budget.
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?:Yes, I would need both speakers and a monitor. Speakers don't have to be the end all be all (of course, better is good if it is within budget).
Should I get better RAM? I could sell my current (bought it new for €50,- less than a year back) and maybe get a 1866 version of it.
I will order wherever is cheapest according to nl<dot>hardware<dot>info & tweakers<dot>net.
Thank you for reading all of this.
Cheers!
