Badminton is really really stamina intensive, requires high-levels of coordination and fine motor skills. How has it ever not been considered a sport? Doping says more about the money to be made, imo.

Badminton has always qualified as a sport using the official "Is It A Sport" flowchart. Mountain climbing and golf don't.
