If you DON'T smoke weed, what is the main reason?

Poll coming, but really, I have 3 reasons, with the main one being it isn't legal where I live....

I am 52, and 30+ years ago, I did smoke it often, for about 2 years, and then one day I just decided to give it up...... smoked it one time since then. If it was legal where I live, I might smoke it a few times a year, but no more than that. I also don't smoke it because I want to be a positive influence on my kids. My twins are 13 years old, and have never even seen me get drunk.... which I only do about once a year, and usually while on vacation.

And finally, I probably am too cheap to buy it. I wouldn't even want more than one J at a time, and as I understand it, people who sell it would never sell that quantity, and I wouldn't buy more than that. I don't even know what it costs anyway.

But I hope it eventually becomes legal in my state, as too many people go to jail for this. And while I am white, it bothers me that in Philadelphia, 90% of all people who get busted for weed are black.... and I know that black folks aren't smoking 90% of all the weed. I was at a party 3 weeks ago, and while nobody smoked pot at the party, as far as I know, I heard lots of folks talking about wanting to smoke some, or having smoked some.... and all 40 guests were white folks.

Don't see the appeal. < Probably the main reason. Just doesn't interest me at all.

Don't find a need to. There's no benefit. Any benefit I could receive from it can be acquired in much cheaper/better ways. There's just little interest. The same goes with alcohol/cigarettes.

I used to, but I grew up. I also used to drink at parties but don't drink at all anymore.

EDIT: Actually, I guess I'll be honest here. I got so high that I passed out a few times (literally fell over unconscious while standing up in my friends driveway) and hit my head on concrete and gave myself two really bad concussions. I can't risk doing that again so I quit smoking weed

I find hte notion of inhaling any kind of smoke to be detrimental to my health. I also know I have an addictive personality and I don't trust me ability to be moderate about it.
I'm also very convinced that excessive use of marijuana addles your mind, makes you slow and dull in the head. I saw what it did to a friend of mine and the notion that it has no adverse effect is, to me, bullshit.

For the same reason why I don't smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or take any other drugs/medications. Because there is no reason for me to do so - and because I hate mind-altering stuff (in any form) per se.

I don't smoke cigarettes for the same reason, in 10 years I don't want to be unable to walk up a flight of stairs. Sending anything burning into your lungs is idiotic at best.
