Wrong Loot specialisation

Im an ele shammy - my current spec is this and my loot spec is set to this. however, every quest reward I get is +agi gear. Also, I got a glove that you clicked on and it is supposed to change into something for your loot spec - again +agi gear.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any way to work around it?

Hi, sorry I haven't seen this problem but just as a suggestion try changing to your second spec and then back to Ele?

All mail is both agi and int now, it changes according to your spec.

I've been having the same issue. I'm tried right clicking my character panel to change loot specialization between ele, enhance, and current (ele). I still almost always get agility gear. About 50% of the agility gear also seems to have intellect.

As Satori said previously, stats on gear works differently in WoD than any other expansion in WoW's history. All main pieces of armor (save slots like weapons, rings, necklaces, trinkets) share the same stats. Meaning that when you receive a belt, it has agility and intellect on it, and the moment you change specs, your appropriate stat, be it intellect if you are resto/ele or agility for enhance, will be highlighted, and the non-appropriate stat will be grayed out. This was an intentional design on Blizzard's part to make gearing up different specs much easier across the board for many hybrid classes in the game.

Now some people have been experiencing weird bugs of all kinds, but usually to clear up the "wrong stat highlighted" problem, simply switching between your other spec and back to your spec you want to currently play fixes the issue. Also, certain drops off of rare mobs, or treasure pickups, are locked to certain stats. Meaning even if I kill a certain rare, he may drop an agility staff no matter what spec I am. This also was intentional on Blizzard's part. Certain addons out there will notate on your map the rare/treasure spawns and what is actually the loot from them, so you can have a better understanding of what to be on the lookout for as you quest and gear up.
