Lvl 100 ridiculously low Balance dps

Hi, this is my 1st post on this forum but ive been tracking Druid's sub-forum since WoD started So HI all.

Ive been worried about balance DPS too, but after getting 633 ilvl im just toping or almost toping recount in dmg done (usually 2nd or 3rd in dps) on almost every heroics, so dont be worried fellow boomkins, also I cant wait for raids to finally show off

I think we are very haste dependent, using Celestial Aligment at Lunar peak and spaming Starfire might bring bring us a nerf once we have enough of haste from t17

What should I aim to get before the raid starts? In % i mean

ATM im sitting on 1261 Mastery, 712 Crit, 426 haste, 262 multi, 3233 Int

Why waste the peak window on a lower dps ability rather than a higher dps ability since it is a scaled buff?

It would make the most sense to refresh dots when lunar and solar are at their minimum buff values. That way you are making the most of your scaled eclipse buff on your highest damaging abilities.

If it's a dps increase to be dotting on peak, it would be a dps increase to just moonfire or sunfire spam non stop.

The math says you are wrong. Euphoria, SotF, 25% Haste, 70% Mastery

Note that with Euphoria, Lunar Peak lasts until 1s before Solar, so we need to be looking very late to avoid the "Peak" buff anyway.
SF (empowered, SOTF) is 350% SP (before mastery)
MF is 40.5% SP, or 81% SP with peak buff.
SF is (25% haste, empowered euphoria) is 2s cast.
MF is 1.2s.

Lunar empowerment, 2.0001s left in Lunar (8s into rotation):
Mastery values at relevant times:
8s: 57.6%
10s: 35%
11.2s: 20.8%

SF+MF, both land at 35% mastery
MF+SF. MF lands at 57.6% mastery, SF lands at 20.8% mastery

(350%+40.5%)*135% = 527%SP damage
81%*157.6% + 350%*120.8% = 631.4%SP damage.

Your bigger/longer spell does less damage if you cast it second, but the gain on your smaller spell more than makes up for it.

Just letting you know that you dont need to CA at peaks. CA gives you the peak bonus's no matter where you are on your eclipse bar.
