Lots of Democrat corruption going on

Wow, take a look some of the corruption coming from some in the Democratic party. I thought only Republicans were corrupt, but damn!

Heading into the 2014 mid-terms, again key to an incumbent president with big plans, scandal is in the air. So far, the corruption hasn’t yet reached the level of Congress, but it’s already ugly, especially because Democrats have, for the last six years, talked about openness and honesty.

In California, the Democratic-controlled Senate suspended three of its own Democrats. State Sen. Leland Yee was arrested on federal gun trafficking and corruption charges. Sen. Ron Calderon pleaded not guilty to charges of influence-peddling. And Sen. Roderick Wright was convicted Jan. 28 of perjury and voter fraud.

In Illinois, federal agents seized computers at the home and office of Democratic state Rep. Keith Farnham, who resigned March 19, citing health concerns. The Associated Press reported that the agents were searching for evidence of child pornography. In Rhode Island, the Democrat-led state legislature voted to replace former House Speaker Gordon Fox, who stepped down from the post after the FBI raided his home and office.

Worst, Patrick Cannon, the Democratic mayor of Charlotte, N.C. — where Democrats held their national convention in 2012 — resigned after being charged with accepting nearly $50,000 in bribes during an FBI sting operation.

Even MSNBC’s raving liberal Rachel Maddow was stunned.

“There are now three Democratic state senators with federal criminal indictments against them just this session resulting already in eight felony convictions,” she said. “And yes, the Republican Party is essentially defunct in most of California and probably beyond reviving, but if anything can bring them back, it’s probably days like this.”

I guess you're tired of republicans being so corrupt you had to find some way of attacking your political opponents?

    Strawman

Why not address the issue instead of deflecting. Weren't conservatives getting accused of doing the same in another thread?

Looks like they did the job for him.

Yeah. You. I literally just looked at that thread only to find you deflecting away from the actual issue. "But but dems do it too!!" It was just so obvious you don't like your team being corrupt that you had to make a thread attacking the other team. And what, you can do it but anyone who disagrees can't? Lol.

Admit it, you just can't stand republicans being corrupt and called on it. You need to play the game where both parties do bad things, or if you're even more partisan that whenever republicans are criticized you have to shift the conversation to the democrats.

Another Strawman, not that I expect much else from Raybourne.

FAct is corruption happens on both sides of the eisle, no matter how hard it is for you to admit it.

    And what exactly?

Is there some sort of point that we're missing?

Is there some sort of point that you want to make, but you haven't?

The point is that there is lot of corruption coming from the democratic party leadership, and that corruption isn't limited to one side of the spectrum.

MMOC-OT posts alot of thread critical of conservative corruption (corruption should always be brought to light) but the apathy from the left on this site, including Moderators regarding their own corruption is hypocritical, and delicious.

I know I know Tailey......it's only important when its conservatives being corrupt.

This has nothing to do with party. I mean, yes, it's the democrats in these states, but that's kind of the point.

Parties, when unchecked by another party, tend to have a lot more control in their respective positions because they are unchecked. This will naturally lead to corruption. We see it in the red states with republicans, and it's no question that democrats do it too in the blue states. Michigan, California, Illinois are all examples of this.

There are a few states where dignity goes along ways though, but they are more "centered" in their state legislature, despite being either red or blue at the national level.

I think his 'point' was made in another thread:

LOLZ, cause we totally know that Democrats would never ever do anything like that lol.....
He's just mad republicans get a lot of corruption stories. I see this kind of thing happen a lot on OT, someone's political party (could be either democrat or republican) gets criticized, they get mad, they make a thread where supposedly the other side does the same thing or worse. It's a knee jerk defensive partisan reaction.

I'm not sure where you're going with this.

Sure, Democrats may knock on Republicans for corruption, but that doesn't preclude that from being corrupt themselves.

It just becomes the pot calling the kettle black.

Good thing republicans are saints right.

Also something conservatives hate to do-Try looking at the statistics which party is more corrupt.

Want to make a Democrat go ape shit? Simply just teach them history, lol. I refuse to call them "liberals". Thomas Jefferson is a liberal. Your modern day wannabe "liberal" is not a liberal, but more an authoritarian, globalist, socialist, eugenicist posing as a loving caring trendy. (btw, I do not support either party)

    Democrats hate the facts!

    1863
President Abraham Lincoln issues Emancipation Proclamation.

    1865
Republican-controlled 38th Congress passes the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery

    1866
With unanimous Republican support and against intense Democrat opposition, Congress passes the 14th Amendment

    1872
First African-American governor, Pinckney Pinchback (R-LA), inaugurated

    1919
Republican-controlled 66th Congress passes the 19th Amendment guaranteeing women the right to vote.

    1924
Republican-controlled 68th Congress and President Calvin Coolidge grant citizenship to Native Americans.

    1954
Brown v Board of Education strikes down racial segregation in public schools; majority decision written by Chief Justice Earl Warren, former governor (R-CA) and vice presidential nominee

    1957
President Dwight Eisenhower signs the 1957 Civil Rights Act.

LOL, this is awesome, im getting the exact response I was expecting.

Instead of whining about me, why not address the topic of the thread, and give your opinion of the Democratic politicans listed in this story.
