That's awesome! Definitely explaisn the huge ass launch issue. 10 million is 2 million away from WotLK at it's finest! It's funny how before the x-pac the shitstorm of doomsayers and negative nancies complaiuend about how lacking the x-pac was and how bad it'd be. Oooh, the sweet irony. Just proves that the complaining is always a part of the xpac cycle.
Obviously it goes down over time, but this is the largest jump any expansion has experienced since WotLK, which is pretty well regarded as one of the best expansions. If Blizzard keeps it up like this, it may end up being another really good expansion.

No it doesn't

World of Warcraft’ s Subscriber Definition
World of Warcraft subscribers include individuals who have paid a subscription fee or have an active prepaid card to play World of Warcraft, as well as those who have purchased the game and are within their free month of access. Internet game room players who have accessed the game over the last thirty days are also counted as subscribers. The above definition excludes all players under free promotional subscriptions, expired or cancelled subscriptions, and expired prepaid cards. Subscribers in licensees’ territories are defined along the same rules.
And that's without the Korean and, more astonishingly, the Chinese numbers are in. That's quite the jump
It's almost like MoP was just a bad idea.
Anyone else satisfied with this? At least thats a great reason for queues to me.
#JusticeForRucatiPSN: Iskalla74, inv for Destiny if you need help
And that isn't counting the East numbers, that's pretty crazy for a 10y old game. Congrats to the devs, they deserved it, the quality shows for sure.
Wait What?!, That means we are like only 2 Million from the peak & They gained 3 Million after that.
Holy Shit!
Ironic that you say wotlk was the best expansion despite during wotlk/cata tbc was considered the best :S Hell the entire reason for making dungeons hard in 4.0 was because people hated wotlk dungeons so much :SObviously it goes down over time, but this is the largest jump any expansion has experienced since WotLK, which is pretty well regarded as one of the best expansions. If Blizzard keeps it up like this, it may end up being another really good expansion.
Why does it say December 2014 when you mouse over the last dot?
The 10 million chart point shows December 2014, should it not be november?
It is the same number as it was at release of MOP, but keep in mind it also jumped up from a much lower number this time around. Almost 3x the increase.
Looks like their biggest subscriber jump since June 2005
