What do I Raid?

After seeing LFR will require 640.. it had me wondering. Why on earth am i taking my guys into heroic dec 2 day one with 635-640 ilvl. Should we be doing Normal ( old flex ) first for an ilvl boost? OR is heroic tuned properly for 635-640?

Last exp we cleared normals quickly, MSV/HoF/ToEs in blues / epics, TOT in full HOF gear, and SOO in full 522. Were a solid raid group. Not week 2 mythic amazing but were solid.

What will you guys be doing? I'm confused to if heroic will be insane and a waste of a night or if were suppose to start in normal.

LFR Highmaul requires 615, not 640. My guild will be downing normal first for the gear upgrades then heading into heroic.

Oh 615. damn my bad. but the doing normal first sounds really appealing. We only raid 2 nights a week which is why I wanted to go straight heroics. but it would also let us see all the fights.

My guild is planning on clearing Normal and doing as much of Heroic as we have time for the first week. We'll be bringing people who have 630+ ilvl to the raid.

Yeah were on 2 days so im debating if I do normal still or not. Idk how much a difference it will make. It was a 10 man team now 20 man so I feel like normal mode would get us comfortable with eachother, see the fights, get some gear. then do heroic. but 2 days is not a lot time might go straight into heroic.
