    WeakAura Help: Ko'ragh's Nullification Barrier % Remaining

    Hi,

    I'm looking for a WeakAura that will track Ko'ragh's Nullification Barrier in terms of the percentage of his shield remaining. Any help would be awesome!

    Does anyone have an idea as to how to go about making this work? It'll make my guild pretty happy

    I'm thinking it would be something like:

    Icon > Display > Text > %c
    Trigger 1 > Aura > Nullification Barrier > Target > Buff
    Trigger 2 > Custom > ________

    The custom trigger would get the percentage of the barrier remaining. I'm not sure if this is necissary to create this trigger, but the amount of the fully charged barrier changes depending on difficulty and number of players, but the amounts are here: http://www.wowhead.com/spell=156803

    If it is not possible to create a custom trigger that shows the percentage, one that tracks the amount remaining in number form would be okay too.

    If you want to find out the "stacks" of a buff/debuff don't you normally have to do 'Aura->Full Scan (High CPU)->EnterName and/or Spell ID->Use tooltip "size" instead of stack'? At least thats what I do when I want to figure out how much absorb my guard is going to do o.o I feel like this would be the similar way of doing what you're trying to do assuming you haven't tried it yet. Though if you're absolutely dead set on making it a percentage number then this wont do. This way shows you the full absorb amount

    Here's a WA I hacked out tonight for tracking the remaining absorb value. It doesn't do % as you requested, rather it shows remaining thousands of damage in absorb. Feel free to use/reverse engineer for your own purposes if you can. I'm not a LUA god and this took me a while to figure out how to script the custom text function without it throwing insane amounts of errors... sad, I know, but best I could do. Please if anyone feels like they can improve it, do so and repost!

    does anyone know if his shield scales with raid size? oder just with difficulty? if its just scaling with difficulty i got a working % track of the barrier.

    if it scales with raid size: does a lua command exists for the max shield value? this would make it a lot easier

    It scales with raid size at an almost perfectly linear rate, but not quite. You can see the scaling for normal mode here.

    You will get an error with that saying attemt to preform arithmetic on a nil value.

    Easy fix just place the next line before the first if statement checking for difficulty ids:

    if (n ~= nil) then

    that should fix it.

    iam not getting any errors, u sure about that? i tested it on myself while buffed with ice barrier and it worked totally fine. the value for n (in my test case Ice Barrier absorb value) was read out correctly

    Big thanks to enoNdo for the WeakAura. I have tweaked it a bit, because I want it to show different color numbers based on percentage. Could someone look at this WeakAura and tell me if this code accomplishes this? I want it to be Blue text above 75%, Green above 50%, Yellow above 20%, and red until 0%.     You are all making this far too difficult.

    The bosses nullification barrier actually has a 0-100 scaled reference in the Alternate Power field.

    So simply:
    All Triggers Selected

    Trigger 1
    • Status
      • Alternate Power
        • Specific Unit
          • boss1

    Trigger 2
    • Status
      • Unit Characteristics
        • Specific Unit
          • boss1
        • Name
          • Ko'ragh

    And in the display use either %p, or if you 'really' want to get fancy with the colour coordination, you can use the following jumble of table references:
    Code:
    local f = WeakAuras.regions["Ko'ragh Barrier"]
    local progress = f.region.values.progress
    
    -- Insert colour code returns here
    Where it says "Ko'ragh Barrier" simply replace this with your own Weakaura name (must be exactly the same)

    Then with the progress number (also 0-100), do your colour limits and print the result back.

    Does it really works on boss1 too?

    Specific names in that field only work with friendly units in your group. boss1 is a defined unit type, so it will work even though it's not a friendly player in your group.
