    Bond 24 - "Spectre"

Bond 24 photocall from left to right: Naomie Harris, Lea Seydoux, Daniel Craig, Monica Bellucci and Christoph Waltz

    New cast members
Andrew Scott (Denbigh), Dave Bautista (Mr Hinx), Monica Bellucci (Lucia Sciarra), Lea Seydoux (Madeleine Swann), Christoph Waltz (Oberhauser).

    Returning cast members
Daniel Craig (James Bond), Rory Kinnear (Bill Tanner), Ben Whishaw (Q), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Ralph Fiennes (M)

    Release date
    6 November, 2015

    Plot
As if anyone ever asked for a plot, but okay:

A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.

    - I hope Moneypenny gets good scenes, Harris was grrrreat in Skyfall

    - Christoph Waltz plays the villain because Oberhauser, YAS bitch YAS.

    - I'm really excited for Fiennes "M". Judi Dench was the only memorable Bond boss and I enjoyed how she called him out on his shit. If I remember correctly, Fiennes character was a bit reluctant on taking the "M" job, so I'm curious how they will shape out his boss character

    - Can't wait for the banter(s) between Bond and "Q". Please let there be mayhem

    - I miss ridiculous Bond action with lazerzzzz and cats. Let Oberhauser have a cat. While Casino Royale and Skyfall where good movies, I found them to be a bit too serious/dramatic. But maybe that's the Craig era. Moore got all the over the top slapstick and Craig is all no lazerzz, no cats, no clowns, where the f-ck are my terrorists Moneypenny !????

Yes bond films. I liked the lazers and cats too but Bond has to/had to compete with action hero's like Jason Bourne, maybe even Liam Neeson from taken. So they toned down that shit and made him a bit more gritty and less cheesy. Its more of an action film than a strict 'bond' film nowadays. Still they are fucking awsome (Quantom of Solace aside).

Daniel Craig has done a r8 good job. Bond for me will forever be Pierce Brosnan (goldeneye bitch). But always will go out of my way to watch a bond flick on release.

I'm a big Bond fan, but I read / saw the announcement info and to be honest... /yawn.

I hope they prove me wrong and it's great.

Since his character is german, I have high hopes Oberhauser is bonkers. Javier Bardems Raoul Silva and his sexytime advances were entertaining, Mads Mikkelsens eye peeing ball basher too, but please top it.

My favorite Bond villain is Elliot Carver from "Tomorrow never dies", who blew up sh-t so he could exclusively report about it in his newspaper....like there you go News Corp. !

I couldn't agree more. In classic Bond he gets tied to a table while a giant laser beam slowly moves towards his body to cut him in half. In new bond he gets tied naked to a chair while the bad guy pounds on his ball sack.

They have literally sucked all the fun out of the bond movies.

Do you understand how many decades Bond has been around? Nobody even gives a shit about Jason Bourne anymore.

    Blofeld! Super excited.

And don't buy into that Waltz isn't Blofeld. Dont be like that guy who bought into Cumberbatch not being Khan. Sir Roger Moore wouldnt get it wrong!

Also anyone else noticing a trend with their actress choices? It is like they know they can't do the hard R Bond we all want and deserve so they pick actresses that have done many quality nude scenes in other movies. Be it Eva Green, Bérénice Marlohe, or now Lea Seydoux.

"Gamer" is not a bad word. I identify as a gamer. When calling out those who persecute and harass, the word you're looking for is "asshole." @_DonAdams

It would be pretty lame not to mention him. Why even come up with SPECTRE if you don't use their Number 1, also Blofeld was (part of) in seven Bond movies : From Russia with Love, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, For Your Eyes Only and in that remake of Thunderball, Never Say Never Again

They needed two Bonds to finally introduce Moneypenny, okay they need three to get to Blofeld, fine. Don't waste an opportunity for Bond to be smart arsy about knowing all along it was Blofeld.

Baby come back, dun-dun-dun-dun Baby come back

I do hope they start edging in on the most eccentric aspect of the James Bond series. If they are going with Spectre, then there is a very good chance that is the case.

My guess is that they'll keep it fairly tame, or at least tame compared with for example, Moonraker. The villain's plan will involve some sort scheme to earn a lot of money over a lot of dead bodies. A laser will probably show up when Bond is getting interrogated (a sufficiently high-powered laser is a perfectly valid torture device after all), and Blofield will almost certainly own a cat.
Roleplaying, hardcore Raiding, running LFR on the occasional weekend, PvPing, rolling alts, achievement hunting, pet battling, or just enacting an endless series of whims, I don't care how you play WoW. Just as long as you have fun doing it.

Waltz could play as every villian and I'd be happy with him.

This is not a spoiler. I'm just assuming things from the trailer. But Waltz's character is related to Bond, right? Stepbrother? Cousin? That is one hokey fucking reveal to base the film around. This also looks like it's going to retread ground from Quantum of Solace, and it would have made a bit more sense for Quantum to be Spectre in the first place.

Other than that, looks gorgeous, the cast is solid, etc etc.

I saw one youtube comment that speculated Oberhauser was like a guardian for Bond when he was younger, and they also thought Oberhauser was the guy in the burnt picture. It kinda makes sense with the "long time" part of Waltz's dialogue, but again, it's just a theory.

Well the cast and crew said he wasn't, yet that was revealed to be untrue. While it seems to be a popular thing for the big studios having their cast and crew be deceptive to the public about plot spoilers (Hey, it's good to go into the cinema blind and be surprised), the last time we saw Blofeld was when he was dropped into a damn chimney. You don't survive that (Unless it wasn't him, which is annoying), and it' just suck for them to further retread old ground by bringing Blofeld back.
I'm fine with SPECTRE returning because it could be like how HYDRA returned in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It'd be nuts to think SPECTRE would have fallen apart and never come back.
Isn't it ironic how education is important, yet people forget all about it when they visit the internet?
