Raiding Progression advice

Hey MMO champion.

Back story: My friends and and started a guild just before Warlords came out and have kinda struggled with recruitment a bit. We ended up on the first raid day with basically only 10 people on the roster and with some miracle managed to have them all on and go into a raid.We went into heroic Kargath and had a night of trying to kill him and had an evening of several 2-3% left attempts which kinda sucked but we nearly had it.

Before the next raid there was a spat of guild drama that unfortunately set us back significantly, we lost a healer and a healer and a dps had to take a week off (which they had warned us of). Since the first night of raiding until tonight we have not had a full group to raid with and only attempted normal mode, and we have struggled when pugging people.

Last night however after making some inroads with recruitment after previously only being 2/7 normal we proceeded to 1 shot everything up to the twin Ogron which took 2 attempts.

We should have a full team come our next raid on Friday and im kinda getting the feeling we stand a good chance on kargath hc this time but I really want to get another HC boss down too since that will have us taken at least a tiny bit seriously as a guild.

Questions and TLDR

After 5/7 normal what should be progress on next?

If we kill hc Kargath is there a hc boss for us to focus on next?

Finally is there any advice you have have on new guilds getting into raiding that are struggling to fill up a roster?

Kargath is probably all you should be aiming for in HC for the moment. The Butcher is a big step up from him (hard gear check); Brackenspore, Tectus, and Twin Ogron are just like Normal, except they hit harder, so your mileage may vary with them (Twin Ogron arguably being the easiest of the three).

After heroic Kargath, heroic Ogron are definately the next easiest.

In regards to recruiting, the first question would be how important is your guild to you? How important is it to guild lead, or raid lead vs finding another guild to join.

At your level of raiding though you can easily fill up your roster with the premade group finder. Only Mythic can't be cross-realmed, and it sounds like you're still a ways from there.
