Looking for a Headset and dSoundcard upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade my audio setup (Currently I have no soundcard and a pretty cheap headset). I have ~£300 to spend I was considering the two below but would like to get 'better' for the same price if its available. I would prefer a headset to a standalone mic due to limited space. Main use is Raid Leading, Movies and Music. Thank you in advance for any suggestion. (A mic with particularly good noise cancellation would be a big bonus and I have no real interest in surround sound)

I got a Sennheiser PC 360 recently and can only talk wonders about it.
Mic is good and apart from comms the audio quality is amazing. A good .mp4 with some wicked tunes and you fly away!

I'm not very experienced with sound cards and 3.5" headsets, I use a Soundblaster tactic 3D Omega, and the sound is AMAZING, it's USB so it has software with it for equalizing and has software base THX which is really neat. The sound of those cans are better than my friend's beats for music, and cheaper.

The second headset I recommend is the Astro A40 or A50, most pro gamers use it, my best friend bought one and I'm almost jealous, the sound quality isnt as good as my soundblasters but the build quality is INSANE! The mic is awesome too.

Check reviews on those, and tell me what you think.

Modmic + High quality Headphones imo.

As for a soundcard. The Asus Xonar always gets good recommendations.
