    Angry RCA to VGA/DVI/HDMI

    Is there a cable under about 10 bucks I can get that will covert my RCA (Red, White, Yellow) Into either VGA, HDMI, or DVI?

    I saw a few coverters and they go from HDMI, DVI to RCA Red/Blue/Green not the Red/White/Yellow I have - old RCA's used to be
    Yellow = Video
    Red = Right Sound
    White = Left Sound

    So does the new Blue/Green/Red work with the old RCA and are they compatible?
    If you know any cable that could work for what Im doing please link me, Thanks!

    Heres some of the ones I saw so far I just don't know if they will work.

    You might wanna start out with what you are trying to connect to what. ie old video game console using composite video(y r w connectors) to hdmi only television or new video game console with only hdmi to old ass tv with coax and composite connectors
    Also should list where you live.

    Based on what you said so far, none of those products you linked will work. Component video signals aren't compatible with composite and there is no way a passive cable can convert between analog and digital.

    There is no such thing. If you want to plug in old console with composite RCA output into TV or monitor with HDMI input you will need an active converter box like one of these for example:

    Yellow RCA is just composite video with Red and White the stereo wires for sound. Blue/Green/Red is component video which can also have additional Red/White wires for Stereo sound. But it's all analog video which means you can't just buy a wire that plugs in directly to HDMI/VGA/DVI. Fun fact HDMI is DVI with addition of sound.

    I'm guessing you bought a HDTV without those inputs? Then you need to buy a converter like fixx pointed out. Just be aware that if you buy a bad quality converter that you'll experience delay in video, cause it has to encode the analog video to digital. So make sure to buy a quality one or otherwise you'll experience delay, and maybe worse poor image quality.
