Which race fits with the class?

So when you go for a class, which race do you prefer, or the other way around?

    Horde
Orc - Warrior, Warlock, Mage, Hunter, Shaman.

Tauren - Warrior, Hunter, Druid, Shaman.

Troll - Shaman, Warrior, Rogue, Hunter.

Undead - Warlock, Mage, Rogue, Death Knight, Priest, Hunter.

Blood Elf - Mage, Death Knight, Paladin, Warlock, Priest (Female).

    Goblin - Rogue, Warlock.

    Alliance

Human - Paladin, Warrior, Mage, Monk, Rogue, Priest, Hunter.

Dwarf - Warrior, Shaman, Priest, Hunter.

Night Elf - Druid, Hunter, Rogue, Priest (Female).

    Gnome - Mage, Warlock, Rogue.

Draenei - Paladin, Shaman, Priest (Female).

Worgen - Warrior, Death Knight, Warlock, Mage.

    Neutral

    Pandaren - Monk.

    -

I don't know why, but this is (pretty much) how my list goes, if I want to be a mage I won't pick Troll, i'll go for Blood Elf or Undead. If I want a Warrior in Alliance, I won't go for a Gnome.

I agree with your list but I personally would scratch off Hunter from maybe NE and definitely Tauren. Hunters have always seemed to in opposition to Druids (Nesingwary, the druids in Boraen Tundra, etc.).

But on the other hand both are naturalists and live off the land.

Maybe Taurens yeah because they are pretty big. And Hunters should be sneaky. But I feel Night Elf fits well as a hunter.

Never really liked the name Hunter, we should be Archers.

One thing to note is that one race's version of a class can be very different than another's. I'd say Night Elves fit well with hunters because of the whole nature thing; all the sentinels would probably be hunters. Dwarven hunters.... not so much.

I mean, Paladins aren't very "natural" when you look at the Blood Knights, who are actually siphoning the light from a well made with arcane magic stolen from the Night Elves, but Tauren Sunwalkers are essentially druids.

    Night Elf: Hunter, Druid
Draenei: Mage (they're actually way more powerful mages than people think... they were selected by Sargeras himself due to their magical prowess), Paladin, Priest

    Dwarf: Hunter, Warrior
    Worgen: Rogue
    Padaren: Monk (Duh )
    Orc: Warrior, Warlock, Shaman

    Troll: Priest, Hunter, Warlock
    Undead: Death Knight, Rogue
    Blood Elf: Mage, Warlock
    Goblin: Rogue

    OT:

All races match all their available classes, because if they didn't match they wouldn't be there, and because of the variation given to each class based on the race's culture. Troll priests are basically witch doctors, and human priests are medieval-style acolytes, for instance.

Depends on the style you want. Maybe you're an orc, apprentice to an orc from before the First War still clinging onto the Old Horde's dark magic. I get that Night Elf hunters wouldn't commonly use guns... but Forsaken wouldn't commonly be holy priests. The story can still be interesting, and fit just as well, I think.

One thing that really gets on my nerves is that practically all races can be Pandaren-style Monks after a very short time from meeting the Pandaren, but after decades of allying themselves with Night Elves, Humans (for one example) still can't be Druids, even now that there *are* Human Druids in Stormwind. Refugees from Gilneas. Hell, there should probably be more Human Druids than Human Warlocks, the way they treat those dark arts. Open the flood gates! All races to all classes, please <3

It'd be easier to list the combinations that make little sense.

Night Elves: Hunters with guns, engineers.

    Humans: Warlocks.

Tauren: Shadow Priests. What were they thinking?

Forsaken: Holy Priests. What were they thinking? (I'd be all for separating holy and shadow priest classes in some way)

Orc: Mages. They shouldn't have the patience that wizardry requires. Their shamanism is charismatic, rather than through intense study, so it's no excuse.

All others: Monks. Monks make *no* sense for any race other than Pandaren. It should have been more diverse. Tauren don't have to have playable Blood Knights for Blood Elves to have them as Paladins, yknow? Imagine if they had added Witch-Doctor. Imagine *playing* a human witch-doctor, in your stormwind armor. It's crap.

Edit: To clarify, I would appreciate monks a *lot* more if they weren't based on Pandaren traditions alone. Like, those monks in the Scarlet Monastery are fucking AWESOME. I would play a human monk if it was a *monk* instead of some pandaren brewmaster crap. Hell, I'd play a BREWMASTER if every damn spell didn't have some reference to the Celestials. It's just disappointing knowing that, if they ever release Ogres as playable, my grogmaster still has to pay his respects to an ancient chicken, cow, snake and cat. Ridiculous. Spread the thematic love, I say! SPREAD IT!

I'll keep it to 2 of each. There's undoubtedly going to be some overlap.

    Horde:

    Orc - Warrior/Shaman
    Tauren - Druid/Warrior
    Troll - Hunter/Mage
    Blood Elf - Mage/Priest
    Goblin - Rogue/Shaman
    Undead - Warlock/Mage

    Alliance -

    Human - Paladin/Mage
    Night Elf - Druid/Warrior
    Dwarf - Hunter/Paladin
    Gnome - Mage/Warlock
    Draenei - Paladin/Priest
    Worgen - Warrior/Rogue

Trying to limit 2 per race, with some exceptions

    Alliance
    Human- Paladin, Mage
Dwarf- Hunter (Bronzebeard), Shaman (Wildhammer), Mage (Dark Iron)
    Night Elf- Hunter, Druid
    Gnome- Mage, Warlock
    Draenei- Paladin, Mage
    Worgen- Rogue, hunter

    Lame Fatasses
    Panda- Monk, Monk

    Horde
    Orc- Warrior, Shaman
    Undead- DK, Rogue
    Troll- Hunter, Shaman
    Tauren-Druid, Warrior
    Blood Elf- Paladin, Warlock
Goblin- Rogue, Hunter, (mainly the "sniper" feel of MM and Rogue's assassin-like feel make them feel like a hired mercenary, which a goblin should be.)
You could have the world in the palm of your hands
    You still might drop it

I tend to go the same way as Shambulanced, I pick the class and then choose the best race to fit its lore:

DK: they are raised as DK after they die, so every race can be a DK
    Druid: Tauren / NE
Hunter: Orc - Troll / Human - Dwarf - Worgen
Mage: Undead - BE / Human - Gnome
    Monk: Pandas
Paladin: BE / Human - Dwarf - Draenei
Priest: BE(?) / Human - Draenei - NE
    Rogue: Undead - BE - Goblin - Troll / Human - Worgen - NE
    Shaman: Orc
Warlock: Orc - Undead / Human - Gnome
    Warrior: Orc - Tauren - Troll / Human - Dwarf - Worgen

I have problems with two things: I cant accept that any other race than Orcs can be Shamans, it just doesnt fit; Priests doesnt fit to any Horde race, maybe only BE.
Another thing, I dont see the Goblins as combatants, they are merchant with good aknowledge in engineer and alchemy, they just dont fight.
    I think thats it
Don't make funny of me, If you don't understand what I said.
I'm just a guy with poor studies, that don't have english as first language
