    Feb 2015 sub estimates

So we had 10 million+ at launch and maybe even went up to 10.5 ~ 11m after the report, but in my experience (validated by others concerns) I've never seen so many people leave so quickly, main cities were bursting, loads of people online in guild and friends list etc but now lots of them have disappeared.

I predict this will be the biggest sub drop in WoWs history, what do you guys think?

They phased Draenor, so you'll see less people. I see the opposite of you, though. More people online in my guild than usual and most of my friends list is online all of the time, though a few people I know have quit since.

My guess is there will be a significant drop in subscriptions. It depends on how Blizzard handles things in next few weeks - add variety to content to give players something to do or continue pushing garrisons down our throats.

It dropped since everybody leveled to 100 and there isnt much to do, my friend list and guild is also very inactive these days. People only log on to raid on wednesday and thats it.

Logging in to raid is still a subscription, but you bring up another point, a lot of subscribers are playing a lot less.

It's strange, really. Wod is good, great even, but it's longevity, outside of raids (which are good too) seems a bit lacking. Im not big on raiding anymore, and planned to do a lot of pvp this expansion, with ashran and the class changes. However, with ashran being inaccessible most if the time, random bgs (yeah outside of 40s) still a horde fest, and any kind of competitive solo queue pvp nonexistent and pretty much ruled out by blizzard, I mostly play heroes alpha these days. Hm.

    Enough said.

How can there be 10 million subs when there's only 300 people in the world?

    I'm betting a loss of 1-2 mil.

Don't know how accurate that info is though, also its acitivity not sub numbers.

I think if it ever reached 11m sub or anything more than 10m they would have announced it, when numbers go up they don't wait for quarter report timelines to announce sub numbers.

What's it matter. As long as it's playable, whatever.

I would rather have wow retire instead of going free to play since the game engine is so outdated.

Keep in mind Feb will be from December 31st. I dont think subs will fall that much. 9.4m seems about right for me. Quarter 1 2015 is where it will get interesting.

The recent "game time for gold" is a sign that the sub dropped !
