I don't really have a list... But for me the top album was Lindsey Stirling - Shatter Me. I pretty much listened to the whole thing on loop from the moment I got it. Then I saw her live in December SO amazing.

I didn't get more than 25ish albums, but I was really happy with most of them. My number 1 album is Sabaton-Heroes, but all of these pleased me as well:

    Overkill-White Devil Armory
    Exodus-Blood In Blood Out
    Accept-Blind Rage
    Nightwish-Showtime Storytime
    Persuader-The Fiction Maze
    Falconer-Black Moon Rising
    Grand Magus-Triumph and Power
    Sanctuary-The Year the Sun Died
    Machine Head-Bloodstone and Diamond
    The Birthday Massacre-Superstition
    Iced Earth-Plagues of Babylon
    Soreption-Engineering the Void
    Exmortus-Slave to the Sword
    Savage Messiah-Fateful Dark
    Scar Symmetry-The Singularity Phase 1:Neohumanity
    Grave Digger-Return of the Reaper
    Voyager-V
    Marty Stuart-Saturday Night/Sunday Morning

I enjoyed what I've heard from these but haven't bought them yet so I haven't given them a full listen:
    Triosphere-Heart of the Matter
    Unearth-Watchers of Rule
    Ronny Munroe-Electric Wake
    Tom Petty-Hypnotic Eye
    Allegaeon-Elements of the Infinite
    October 31-Bury the Hatchet
    Evergrey-Hymns for the Broken

    Taylor Swift - 1989

I can't even come up with one album that comes close.

Haven't really ever downloaded an artists whole album, maybe 7/10 songs. My favorite song right now has to be Karmin- Sugar. It is definitely something that I haven't heard in Pop. Also, their other song Karmin- Yesterday has an amazing bass-line and feels very Ska influenced.

The best album of all years is still Pink Floyd from 1973-1979 (Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall).

Even their early experimental stuff (Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, Ummagumma) and their post Waters stuff (A Momentary Lapse of Reason, the Division Bell) are much better than anything released in 2014. Hell, if you want something released in 2014, Pink Floyd even released something this year, The Endless River. Only one of the songs (out of 18) has words, and it's still better than anything else out there.

I like Floyd, but I wouldn't even rank them as as the best album of 1973(I'll take The Who's Quadrophenia or Jethro Tull's Minstrel in the Gallery over anything Floyd has done, and those were '73 and '75). As for their 2014 release being better than everything else, well...all I can say is lol.

I'd go with Issues self-titled album. Not a great year in music, in my opinion.

Haven't heard a Jamie T track in a long time.

2007-2009 were fun times, transistion from secondary school to college. Some of the gigs were decent aswell, Foals, Horrors and JT, amongst other bands aswell.
