Question regarding multiple monitor setup

Hi, I was trying to set my PC up to display on 2 monitors, both showing the same exact thing. I.E. I want one of monitors to serve as an identical copy as the other. I was going to do this by just connecting another hdmi to my video-card, but I was wondering if this would have any sort of impact on graphic power or FPS.

My GPU is a GTX 970 G1 4GB

Not that much of any impact, just remember to change the settings in the screen resolution to be duplicate and not extend.
