    Mystery Science Theater 3000.

I can't be the only one here who is a fan of the show. In case you don't know that MST3K is, it's about a guy named Joel who works as a janitor at a place called Gizmonic Institute. His bosses, Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank, decide to shoot him into space and use him as a guinea pig for Dr. Forrester's experiment: How many bad movies can one person watch before they go insane? Joel builds two robots, Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo, so he doesn't go insane from the loneliness. Joel, Crow, and Tom make fun of the bad movies they're forced to watch.

The show has such a simple premise, but it works beautifully.

It lost a lot of its wit and charm when Michael J. Nelson started on the show and it just turned into a scripted rebuking of whatever movie was on there. It had its moments for sure, but the original run was just, better because of the improvisation. Then there's Michael J. Nelson being a crazy neocon, which kinda creeps me out.
