Removing the processor from a GPU

So my little brother managed to fry my 660ti with some beer, I want to take the processor out of it and put it on my keychain but it's refusing to budge.

Any tips on prying it off without scratching it too much? (if its even possible)

You need to melt the solder off either with heat gun (preferably) from behind the board, or stick it into oven and melt the solder there (might be messy if plastic parts melt).

Do this at your own risk:

heat oven to 240C and stick in the graphics card upside down over metal tray and keep it there until the GPU core falls off the board. It should take between 5-10 minutes. If it doesnt work try again with 275C and 5-10 minutes.

It's safest if you first tear off all plastic bits (DVI/VGA/HDMI connectors, fan connector, PSU connectors etc) and all capacitors from the board assuming you dont mind those getting scratched.

I'm curious about the story pertaining to frying the 660ti with beer.
