I never knew that the religious scriptures were so highly ranked. I feel blessed.

Bear in mind that is just one version of the Bible...I'm not sure how many versions of the Quran are published.

Those numbers are probably much, much higher for the religious texts.

After that...Holy crap I didn't realize Don Quixote had sold so many copies.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes
    Or should I?

lol funny typos (or intentional puns) but that book is not really as popular as you'd think.

If all versions of the Bible are scored separately, I am sure the aggregate number of all Bibles has to be roughly double that KJV number, if not more.

Man, A Tale of Two Cities was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my high school years, and I love to read.

I always thought it was the highest selling non-religious book, period, but I guess not. Pretty close though. Never realized Don Quixote was that popular.

But yeah, I would have thought LoTR was higher than that as a series, especially when you factor in it's resurgence in the 70s and again since the movies have come out.

The Gideons, although I never actually have taken note of which version they place. But King James, New International, New American, etc, etc. I have little doubt that an "all versions" total of the Bible would be runaway #1 on this list.

This means it's only a matter of time until people start worshipping Dumbledore.
