Ok so here is the situation, my main is an Unholy DK but I'm RL and I'm not liking the RNG nature of the spec combined with having to keep an eye at what everyone else is doing so I'm looking to switch to a class with a more predictable playstyle that is not entirely dependent on how many dots my 2 runes rolled. By now I got similar item level to my DK but I feel I'm lacking in terms of damage so I'm not yet satisfied enough to bring him for Mythic progress.

(Keep in mind that the relics are those but with the following item levels from left to right - 855, 850 and 865)

On the Nythendra normal I realize that I let the ''Hit Combo'' buff drop and according to CMW my cast efficiency is only 87%. My question is if those 13% efficiency lost and the ''Hit Combo'' fail are enough to put me on a much better bracket % or if I'm failing miserably at something else that I can't see?

On the Ursoc normal the boss was pulled a bit too short from the Pull Timer and I though we would have Hero on pull so my prepot was actually the only Potion I used, I wasted 2 Chi more than on Nythendra although maintaining a similar cast efficiency of 87% but I lost around 17k DPS from one fight to the other.

I got logs from yesterday Heroic clear but we had too much lag spikes across the entire evening that they are probably not fair logs.

My logs are ok for normal/hc and I used checkmywow to find out I don't miss too many casts. I, however, want to know how to get to even higher dps. I've seen WW's on the Ursoc fight dealing insane amounts of damage (over 400k dps at the end of the fight) and want to be at that level.

Things I consider myself:
-Better stats. Crit is too high
-Better trinkets. No luck on the BiS trinkets at all at a proper itemlevel.

I'm making some mistakes sometimes on the Serenity opener (missing 1 RSK on opener) but otherwise I'd love for someone to check my stuff out correct me on it. Our mythic logs are hidden but you can check out a lot of hc/normal logs.

Hey, I'm looking to improve my DPS overall. I'm doing low dmg for my ilvl, and I see WWs 5 ilvls higher than me doing 100k more dps, not really sure what I'm doing wrong to be honest, but I want to fix it.

Hey, I'm having some issues with my DPS. According to warcraft logs, others are pumping out at least 60-70 more dps for my item level. Would appreciate any help.

I noticed after our kill on eye that Diffuse magic doesn't seem to be working on the DoT you get after killing blobs. My raid basically kill all 8 blobs at the start of the fight together, then stack up and pop all defensives and stuff. It works our pretty well and I survive most of the time. But I noticed that Diffuse Magic doesn't seem to work. It is "Shadow Damage", so it should work. Anyone else noticed this problem?

Here is my log, you can see that I used Diffuse Magic:

I should be taking really low amounts of damage with diffuse magic. The ele shaman for example has a 40% dmg reduction, while I have a 60%, there is noway he could take less damage than me.

Heya. I wanted to ask you guys, to let me know what I'm doing wrong and what I could improve. I'm preparing to to start raiding with my guild. We want try Mythic (lol. IMO Im too low for this, at least for now). My main was a Brewmaster, now I rerolled to Mistweaver. I went with pug for Ursoc HC, wiped him 10 times. I had no enchants, gems, etc. (enchants are in my bag, ready to apply on raiding day). It was my first time as healer on raid (I never healed before, except LFR, some mythics +2). I had issues with mana, about 200k at 30% boss, no mana tea up, but I think it's because of no using potions.

You're missing too many casts, and dropping Hit Combo way too much.

You're missing a few important casts of cooldowns like Serenity, and dropping Hit Combo a few times.

Beyond what CheckMyWow shows you, the logs you're comparing yourself to are getting alot more damage by hitting multiple targets. This could be a difference in strategy or they're just padding, but thats the reason for the big gaps in damage on abilities like FoF.

It may also come from your relics ? Maybe they have like 2/3 strong FoF relics and you have none ?

On ursoc what is odd is you having 14 casts of FoF and having 81 hits while he has 15 casts and 202 hits I also compared to my best ursoc attempt (7%wipe) and I have 14 casts and 150 hits, not sure what is happening, maybe we are not in range for the entire cast or the guy you compared to is timing their FoF perfectly for when the add comes.

That's true, I also have the trait and I'm still doing less 52 hits than the guy you compared to thought we could be on a similar situation as I'm not specifically looking to timing my FoF with the add xD

I've put a lot of work in past 2 weeks getting my DPS up. Two weeks ago I was barely getting 200k constant on EN... Fixed some things, read WTW, focused on every small detail. Now, this week, was another sad disappointment.

Start of fight I can do my SIM dps of 250-270k. Soon after the 3rd-4th rotation rolls around, I drop to 215k~ ish DPS. This is where the chi runs low, and you struggle to have Chi even with popping brew. I think that is the such low (dips) in the graphs on logs. After last night and sipping some tea after raid and staring at logs, I noticed my overall DAMAGE was low. Like I just wasn't doing enough, but last night I was actually grateful. Barely any debuffs to move out (Rot, etc). Did nothing different, changed nothing that I been doing in Mythics+ all week. About those, I always ALWAYS top the charts in Mythic+ (of course thats with more AoE trash), but always am wanted and loved for my DPS in 5mans. Kara? Topped those meters with 870s in party. But go to EN? I get depressed..

I don't know what else to do / say. Its above 200k, guild won't complain, but I will. Its sad watching my stay at 250k dps and just watch it drop to barely 200k. Watch lesser geared Pallys and whatnot just out dmg and out dps me like its butter. I noticed sometimes I am a good 10-20 MILLION damage behind other dps.. I just dont know how..
