the governments welcome to read my online chat, and all the sexual overtones and graphic gay erotic roleplay that comes with it.
I dunno whats worse, an ultra conservative nazi running the country, or a court jester conservative. Either way, you can't silence people, if the masses revolt against you.

Also... ooh the irony..

Even your most recent case was 5 years ago. I'm not trying to convince you that you are wrong because I don't know the truth but I do know I would not stake my life on any electronic communication being secure from the government. In fact I suspect the more you try to hide what you are doing, the brighter the beacon you are shining on yourself.
How will the government intercept our communications? They'll have to put holes in the internet tubes, and then we'll have leaky internet all over the road.......
Much ado about nothing. Everyone knows the NSA invented Snapchat and Whatsapp so they can easily monitor everyone. They invented PGP too so that they can easily decrypt hidden messages. Who do you think you people are dealing with here? Everyone out here in the desert knows, ask any of us, come knock on our trailer doors.

Read this article on GCHQ and the capabilities it has.
There is no doubts about it, we are one of, if not the most monitored countries on the planet, be that from CCTV, through to txt messages and the internet. They're taking data straight from the tubes?
That's right. Interceptors have been placed on around 200 fibre optic cables where they come ashore. This appears to have been done with the secret co-operation, voluntary or forced, of the companies that operate the cables, potentially giving GCHQ access to 10 gigabits of data a second, or 21 petabytes a day.
This is why the shitty UK government needs to be overthrown and democracy instilled. Hopefully they riot and burn the palace to the ground if this happens. Because No one's freedom should be taken away. I know if something like this happened in the US i'd be willing to die fighting for freedom.

Not sure if it was linked yet, but there you go.
So according to Cameron, basically there should be no communication between two people, that authorities shouldn't have access to. So, according to him, I couldn't go and whisper something to someone, without a cop standing next to me listening in on what I'm saying.
This guy is a complete and utter asshole. UK, you better not elect him again.
And by the way, yes, of course you should be able to encrypt anything and everything you send out, so that only you and the recipient have access to it. "Terrorism" has absolutely no bearing on that.
And they say Russia is oppressive and evil...
Even emails have some kind of encryption. It would set the UK back into the stone age. And or leave all their shit vulnerable to everything.

You guys across the pond and your prime minister. Now you guys know how we felt when we had Bush.
Why would we burn the palace? This has nothing to do with the Queen. Let's be frank about the second bit of your post; the American people are already slaves of another kind. You lost your freedom quite some time ago my friend.
OnT: It doesn't surprise me in the least that Cameron is using the attacks as an excuse to push his internet censorship and "big-brother" spying agenda. He's making it hard for young people to vote for his party when he trying to take away our porn, our instant messaging, and whatever else he decides to lay his eyes on after that. I am quite confident this wont make it through Parliament, ever, but it will certainly damage his party's hopes of being re-elected when he's got such a boner on for banning everything he doesn't like.
For god sake, I'm sure I speak for a lot of other UK people here when I say that people outside of the UK reaaaaalllyyy need to stop getting so excited over this UK censoring stuff.
First reddit etc was polluted by Americans creating posts about the UK porn ban. Nothing happened. And now this again.
No UK people make these posts. Always the outsiders.
What scares me is that the world no longer exiles politicians who make dumb shit proposals like that.
Otherwise this is just one dumb shit in power saying one dumb shit thing. Nothing new.
I'm not too concerned. I'm sure that if the British government tries to truly implement something like this then the backlash will be incredible. Though if it does end up going through I suppose I'll just move elsewhere to a more stable country.
There's really no need to impose on private communications. Terrorism is a problem but if we end up living in fear of it then the terrorists have already won.
Well usually I support conservatives, but they make it so hard sometimes.
They occasionally like to remind us how out of touch they are with the modern world

Oh the porn ban thing was weird, what happened with that lol
Everyone else on the internet was up in arms about it, and then nothing happened. I've not noticed any banned porn at least
