Help analyzing some Shadow Priest Logs please!

Hey there,

My buddy is working on becoming a better shadow priest for our 1/7M guild. He is a bit behind the group in gear, so I understand he shouldn't be expected to compete on every fight.

What I am curious to know is how are his essential uptimes/casts per fight/talents, etc. Is there anything drastically wrong or "what the hell?" worthy? I am unfortunately just clueless as to judge his output thus far.

Just compare it to any log from any somewhat decent shadow priest and a few things will jump out at you. First of all, his uptime on his dots it's really abysmal. Second of all he is playing the wrong spec on 3 of 7 fights. Third of all, he is not using insanity hardly at all and that is a huuuge dps loss. Overall he really has quite a bit to work on. Make sure he knows the rotation asit does not seem like he does looking at the log you provided.
