Now it just makes me irritated about what could've been, because I'm sure they're going to fuck the franchise over even more than they already have.

lets hope not, i expect a few bugs here and there with a game that size, but my god rome 2 launch was a disgrace. hopefuly it will at least ship with a functioning AI

Problem is 40k is small squad based, while fantasy is large regiment based, which suits Total War much better.

I will keep my hype in moderation. Given how many shitty games WH license are there GW isnt doing any quality control. And im not sure how will Warhammer translate into Total war. Gonna wait and see.

Yeah Games Workshop is the worst at handling their licence, relic is the only good one and there is tons of bad ones. Warhammer have tons and tons of lore and massive fanbase so the potential for amazing games is there.
