So basically, a Used Car Dealership ordered a $12 pizza and payed the delivery guy with 20 $1 bills.
Delivery guy thinking he made $8 on tip gets called back to return the change.

I have a Rhok'delar, jelly?
Eh, some people are just assholes I guess. I always tip well when I get delivery, at least 20%.
so they handed the delivery guy the $20 and said nothing as he went back to his car, and waited for him to get back to the pizza place to phone the manager and make him drive all the way back to return $8?
does seem kind of stupid, they should have said while he was there that they wanted change.
He gets to keep the Tip, they gave him $8, so it's his.
I don't understand why if someone calls you an asshole randomly, this is somehow news worthy.
But... if it was 12 and he had 20 1 dollar bills.... why not just give 12?

Stupid on both sides, dumb of them to pay all in ones and not just giving the exact 12. More dumb of the delivery driver for not asking if they want change, expecting a tip is the worst thing a delivery boy or server can do.
It's like crossing an intersection. There's shit going on all over the place and you don't panic and act like an idiot then do you?
With stories like this I would like to get both sides to explain what happened. It would be interesting.

Lesson 1: Some people are assholes.
Lesson 2: Always count what you just got paid BEFORE leaving. Sometimes people aren't assholes, they're old or made a simple mistake or a couple bills were stuck together.

Being British I rarely tip unless I receive excellent service or extreme weather conditions, i.e. snow, heavy rain etc.
A nice bunch of a**holes in this office !
Hope karma kick then in the nuts.
That said, american tip culture is imo retarded. in switzerland I usually just round up the bill when delivered (20 for 18,70) because deliver boy is decently paid, don't use his own car and certainly don't pay the gas.
This happens in a country where fast-food workers are labeled as "burger flippers". I am not shocked.
I have never been asked, by a delivery driver, if I wanted change. I will ask for change if I expect it. And if I mistakenly forget to ask for change, and the guy runs off with more than I intended on giving him, I write it off as giving him a great tip. But that's pretty rare. Generally I pay close attention to how I handle my money.

I used to sell cars. The best way to get back at these guys is to get all your friends to go there and test drive a couple of cars and leave. Just waist their time. If they want to be assholes like that, fuck them.
