Hoverbikes come to Rift

If you're a regular player of Rift, you'd be familiar with the various "promotion" weeks they run with mounts like Budgies, Unicorns and Mech suits, well a new mount promo has launched today (will be 3.30pm server time for North America) called the Arclight Rider mounts which will award you the Hight Octane Variable Engaging Reactor Beryllium Impeller Kinetic Energy (hoverbike) Vehicle

This mount will be applied to all your chars on your account and has a speed of 155%

As with all of these mounts, you can save up the currency for a few events by doing the dailies and get it for free, or take a chance and buy the infamous lockboxes for 630 credits, the choice is yours.

Never been a fan of the hi-tech stuff in sword and sorc MMOs. Looks good but eh. Not something that I would try to hard to get for personal use.

This game is really nice and there is a Fuk'n tons of thing to do. I like the graphism, nothing too rainbowish, quite natural.

Nice. As far as tech mounts go, I like this more than the mech-suit mount. I do still like my robo spider quite a bit though.

It's not really out of place in Rift. Defiant are very technology oriented and there's already armored mechs and more, so the tech could easily exist. As far as the design itself it's very much stylistically fitting with the rest of the art in Rift.
