    crafted items phase 4

    No question. There should be a phase 4 670->685 on crafted items, after mythic blackrock foundry gets released! If you want, you could even combine it with a quest, where you need to explore the world.

    So any news on phase 4 with crafted items?

    Feb 3rd is BRF, not 6.1.

    There is no news of level 4 crafted gear, and that's a good thing, we don't need that. When the next tier arrives we'll likely get a new set of crafted stuff, unrelated to this stuff, like they've always done.

    Well that WarCraftDevs tweet is pretty official news, so I think you're wrong.
    Next patch is on PTR now, so 6.1 is in 4-6 weeks I'd guess (purely speculation)

    I wonder, will cutting edge raiders have any use for these? Top guilds will likely be decked out in Highmaul Mythic 685 gear by February 3rd, and they'll have easy access to Heroic BRF 680 gear. Between Highmaul 685 and BRF 680, they'll likely have a well-itemized piece of equipment for every slot, ready to go for Mythic BRF progression.

    Is my thinking here wrong? Or will these perhaps not be as lucrative as their lesser counterparts were at release?

    Yeah, you're right, there is level 4 upgrades.

    Meh, I'm not a fan, but it does bring them up to heroic BRF gear I guess.
