    HC Imp Help please

Here is the log for our attempts last night: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/PTwG4XWMC269AVvr

We started off very well with a 2% wipe on our second attempt. Sadly we never even got close to that again.

Our DPS is pretty good imo, but I'd love some feedback on our healers.

I feel that we're doing everything correct and can't really pinpoint where we wipe.

Would really appreciate some feedback here.

You are dying to collapsing entity, which is the attack done by the big adds Mar'Gok summons, which leads me to believe your DPS are not focusing the adds properly, and looking at the damage done and comparing it to my own guild, that definitely seems to be the case, the DPS done to arcane aberrations is super low. All DPS should focus the adds and cleave the boss, not the other way around.

On your first attempt your guys did not spread for force nova in p4.

The rest of the wipes before phase 4 were mostly people stepping on mines and getting hit by mark of chaos.
No one should step on a mine, it saves a lot of mana for your healers. No one should get hit by mark of chaos either.

For your phase 4 wipes, a lot of people are dying/taking damage from the small adds melee. Healers need to use their cooldowns or just anticipate the damage when the adds spawn. My raid has everyone AoE those adds as they do a lot of damage to tanks. Tanks could probably do a better job getting aggro of those adds faster. Phase 4 do not tunnel and just remember the mechanics (spread for nova, dodge orbs/mark of chaos, drop brand, don't step on mines, focus big add asap. Generic information I know but it's key for phase 4 not to panic).

Is collapsing entity damage really THAT much? I've watched other HC kill vids and we seem to be at half hp almost constantly whereas these videos it seems the hp is much more manageable.

Yes, especially in phase 3, the big adds do a TON of damage, and since it's raid-wide it's a lot for the healers to deal with. Fortunately, the adds go down super quick if everyone focuses them immediately when they spawn.

Yes it is that much damage. In that phase heres the damage done TO the fortified aberration that pulses aoe. https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...done&target=58
It looks like it was alive for about 46 seconds because half the raid barely hit it. (You need to switch and DESTROY these adds)

Zoom in on damage taken from the 5 min mark to where you wiped.

228k per second. You are 3 healing it so unless you have 80k hps you need to reduce the incoming damage

The adds aoe'd for about 180k of that 228k per second. So about 80% off total damage taken came from not switching.

Heres another way to look at it.
Your wipe: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...ability=158705 13.29 mill damage taken from 2 abberations
Our last kill: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...71&end=5364139 8.3 mill dmg taken (and we have 3 more players)

    tl;dr, kill the adds.

Ok, looking at the phase 3 add phase I see that melee does much more damage on the add than range. Our Mark of Chaos strat for phase 3 is for the group to run from pillar to pillar while the marked tank stays behind. Sometimes the add doesn't tag along with the group, but sticks to the marked add. That definitely hurts our dps. The add is often a bit out of range.

Your protection warrior should wait until the boss starts to cast on him and leap out of range so that the group doesn't have to move. Spread out in p4, kill the ad faster, and don't forget melee need to run out for nova or it's gg.
