Need help with deciding what to purchase.......

I am finally able to build a new pc, which is mainly for gaming and some graphics/video stuff, and I am absolutely hooked on the Deepcool Steam Castle. I am looking at SSDs but beyond that I just can not decide. I figured I would throw it to the forum and see what you all think. I am looking to try and stay in a $00 to 750 range (excluding case if need be) and would love some suggestions.

you might want to check out tomshardware website as they have useful info. I have a 120gb SSD for boot drive and normal HDDs for storage. Buy the best video card you can get (tom's hardware ranks them), then forcus on good chip & Mobo.

First try and see if you live near a microcenter:
    http://www.microcenter.com/

If you do they offer discounts on CPU/motherboard combos drastically reducing costs of those two parts vs buying from newegg or amazon. Its no different building a itx system really, desktop parts will fit in that case. I would stick with itx motherboard like this:
    http://www.amazon.com/Asus-Z97I-PLUS...words=asus+itx

From there you need to decide how many HDD's you need to use, as a long graphics card will take up the drive cage. I personally dont use a HDD only an SSD but some people have movie collections and stuff. If you wanted to keep the HDD cage you could go with a mini itx style card like this:
    http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeFor...pr_product_top

There used to be a gtx 760 itx model but it seems to have been discontinued.

If you dont care about HDD cage i would wait a few days and see how the gtx 960 performs, it will be more in your budget range.

Thanks for the good start guys, appreciate it!

OK so price got raised a bit but I think this is what I want to go with so that it has a long life, is something I wouldn't mind puttin together and will go will in my game space.

These are without rebate. It should be able to be a bit cheaper with rebate. All of em are ignoring case cost.
I don't know if you need an OS or not.

First is a non OC build. A pretty standard build with SSD and midrange card.

Second build is a much more powerful GPU but some sacrifices. Has an i3 instead of an i5. It's a dual core CPU with hyper thread so it functions like a 4 core but the hyper threads aren't as good as physical cores. So it's not as good for multicore applications.

Third, an over clock build would incur about $50 extra cost for CPU/MoBo and and no SSD. $30 for cooler. If you plan to overclock but not right away, cooler can be purchased and installed later.

Its not? i see 5 in stock.

About the case, i noticed his comment on it. As i always say case aesthetics are personal. Besides that a few notes on it, from a personal pov. A friend had it and its almost the same as my previous case, Aerocool DS with window except front and top exterior panels. The window is worse, it shows beneath the main plate, showing all the cable mess and psu. If you do any overcloking and got hot summers is a place like myself vendilation on gpu is not good. Considering the price is the same as the FR Mini R2 i got atm, the two cases are night and day apart in quality, functionality etc

The price for $55 is sold out. If you look at it it's the $89 price.
