What forms of PVP you'd still do if there were no rewards for PVP at all?

Yeah he's either trolling or talking without actually playing the game.

I still love BGs. Will always do them. Yes there are sometimes bots and really well organized teams on the opposite faction but since I started playing back in BC I've always been able to eventually get an intense and exciting match via random battlegrounds. Constant losses and angry raid leaders are almost worth those occasional amazing BGs.

This game is world of arenacraft for me anyways, so 3v3 is something I do for fun and not rewards. I dont find rating to be an "award" anyways, so I cant lose that.

well there are rewards for 3s though. titles, gladiator mount, t2 gear, achievments.

A ladder system (rating) is a reward for me. But if there was no ladder system, I'd probably still play some arena but mostly random BG.

I started pvping in Ultima online a long time ago, i dont need rewards personally. I just enjoy the fight, win or lose if you are having fun, it doesn't matter.

When is still played my favourite past time was world pvp in and around max level dailies area's before they got shit. Its the least rewarding in terms of honor (outside of dueling) but dam i had hours and hours of fun doing it on a server where my faction was outnumbered 10:1. There were so many targets running all over the place and so much tears from the opposing faction

So I spend most Of my time on ptr where everyone gets free pvp gear and just duel, random bg, and now do skirmishes since they added it back into the game. Cosmetic rewards are more than enough for me.

This. If the PTR existed as a paid service I would pay for it. The gearing process is a chore because it forces you to play this stupid game every single week or else you fall behind. In PTR land, there is no falling behind or gear time sink. You just pick up the game and automatically get to play at 100% effectiveness with everyone else.

Another cool thing about PTR is that since everyone you do doesn't matter, people are more willing to actually try out new things or play stupid builds.

Random bg with friends and the odd ashran. Lately ashran is dead as fucking hell (think 5 players per side). So random bgs. Maybe mid rating (1800~2000) rbg. Higher than mouthbreathers, lower than the stressful/abuseful ratings.

People like incentives. You don't need them to have fun, but it keeps things interesting.
