    Recommend Mic/Headset

So I want a new headset since the one I have now is kinda broken.

    Country is Denmark.
    Budget is 700-1000 Danish Kroners

The headset should have a mic on it for when i'm walking around. but I want a proper mic to stand on the computer table with good sound input.

Mic can be wired but Headset need to be wireless.

I recommend taking a read through http://www.head-fi.org/products/cate...aming-headsets to find a set that suits your needs and price range. If your budget is for both pieces, you wont get much in the way of quality for both, maybe one quality piece and one budget piece. If you are not set on having a desktop microphone yet, you can get some real good quality headsets for that budget.

    I use

    http://www.amazon.de/Beyerdynamic-AM...dynamic+dt+990

    and

    http://www.amazon.de/Samson-Meteor-S...=samson+go+mic

i used this for some time

    http://www.amazon.de/Zalman-ZM-MIC1-..._bxgy_MI_img_y <- it works.

I think for that price range there is nothing better in the Headphone department, if you prefer a Headset go for

    http://www.amazon.de/HyperX-Cloud-Ga...eywords=HyperX

i just read that you want it wireless, sorry about that.

The G930 from Logitech would be a good choice i suppose.

For a mic I would highly recommend the Blue SnowBall (ICE)

They are excellent value for money. Mine is currently hidden behind 4 computer screens and I can still be heard audibly from the other end of the room. Additionally when I am sitting at the desk in front of the screens other players have commented that there is virtually no difference in sound quality or volume.
I'm afraid I can't recommend any headsets, I stopped using them a while ago.

    The mic looks really nice.

When you say wireless, do you mean Bluetooth (cheaper but you need bluetooth on your pc duh and the range is like 10 m max) or infrared/high frequency.

    High Frequency are those guys:

    http://www.amazon.de/Sennheiser-5047...g_bs_3468591_3

    http://www.amazon.de/Philips-SHC-857..._bs_3468591_21

    Bluetooth:

    http://www.amazon.de/August-EP650-Bl...bs_361588011_3

    http://www.amazon.de/Bluetooth-Kopfh...s_361588011_10

I am pretty sure you want to use them on your PC so go for high frequency.

i'm 100% certain by wireless its not bluetooth. While both is pretty awesome looking no mic on the headset.

Reason for mic is for everyday use while when I do serious stuff I want a proper mic.

Then go for the Phillips or Sennheiser, they are both high frequency and wireless without a mic.

Bluetooth is wireless, wireless just means that you do not have a direct physical connection with the peripheral.

The Sennheiser is open ear, which means that it will let sound through, you will get more natural sounds with it but you and others around you will hear you when you turn it very loud, they also let your ears breath, which adds to the comfort.

The Phillips is closed ear, it won't let escape sound and it also defuses allot of the outside sounds (it has a noise cancelling effect).

This is a choice you need to do for yourself.

I prefer open ear headphones but i also have a room that is separate, so i won't annoy anyone with gamesounds/music.

Would you mind explaining in a little more detail the scenario you are thinking of where you need both a desktop mic and a mic on a wireless headset?
(Just as an out of interest so that we all understand why you need multiple microphones.

As I wrote, the headset with mic is for everyday use ie skype random raiding etc. Also I often walk around the apartment while being on skype with friends which is the main reason for wireless.

The higher quality mic for when I work with stuff that requires the sound to be clear.

    How big is the apartment?
I can happily be in the hallway and my blue snowball will still pick up my voice just fine.

Size is also important because different wireless headsets will have different ranges based on which technology they use.

Yes i misunderstood you, i actually completely ignored the fact that you want a headset + a mic .

    This one

    http://www.amazon.de/Creative-Blaste...productDetails

and this one are in your prize range

    http://www.amazon.de/Logitech-G930-P...reless+headset

    if you want premium

    http://www.amazon.de/SteelSeries-H-W...reless+headset

I would tend to go for the Creative, you can remove the mic altogether if you are so inclined.

You won't have that many choices i am afraid, there aren't many wireless headsets that are actually decent.

If you are wearing glasses, you should go to your local retailer and try them on first.

I am pretty sure Denmark has their version of Media Markt or Saturn (consumer electronics retailer).

    Nice choices thanks.

The creative I have had before it broke down quite easily
The steel series is a bit out of my budget.
but the Logictech looks really nice. I just have to save up a little bit more.

    My budget was 1000 DKK
    logitech: 837,38 DKK
    Samson: 513,64 DKK

Not too far of budget so if I wait 1 extra month I can easily buy it.

Thank you all you have been really helpful.

I have the G930, and tthey are very good for their price range. The audio quality is above-average on the Mic, and the faux 7.1 surround is really good. They kast about six hours on a charge, and unlike a lot of others CAN be used while plugged in to charge. I can walk most places in my house and still get signal.

I recommend them. They arent suoer duper high end, but for their price range are excellent.

i was thinking of getting the Logitech G930s myself since i just got my tax return right now on new egg they are going for 99 bucks.

Sig by Elyssia "When you do things right people won't be sure you've done anything at all"

  19. #19
Yeah, i wouldnt suggest them at the MSRP (which is like ~200$) - but NewEgg has always had them significantly cheaper than the MSRP.

At the 100$ price point they are tough to beat. As you approach the 200$ price point.. there are other conteders that are better quality.

I think i paid 109$ of them at BestBuy by forcing a price match with NewEgg. For that money, they were a good investment. I like being able to walk around the house or lay on the couch in my office when Skyping with someone.
