The only ability that can hit that hard is Execute, and since it can only be used at <20% it doesn't really matter if it hits for 150k or 70k, it'll still one shot you from that point.
there is no resilience anymore, so wearing pvp gear will a) increase your damage and b) increase your health pool
and c ) touch of death even kills you at full hp if the Monk has more max than you (can happen if you intervene before your pardner gets hit by it)
Chimera shot hits for about 113k.....
And ppl think our mortal strike critting for 60k is huge
because healers can heal someone 20% to 100% in a cast or in druids case, instantly every minute, without a single mana worry.
Damage is always going to be bursty as long as healing is out of control.
Without these burst abilities hitting as hard as they do, nobody would ever land a kill in pvp.
The main problem I have with Execute is the way Arms Warrior Mastery works. Arms Warrior Mastery is basically the most overpowered damage passive in the game. It basically allows Arms Warriors to scale insanely well with every new gear cycle.
Uh.. no. A 2.2 second cast Healing Touch heals for about 40k. Crits for 60K in PvP. Has a pretty low crit chance.
Speced for auto-crit, Rejuv crits/hits for about ~40k, and then plants a 20k living seed, for a total of about 60k. It will also blow your mana pool down to nothing if you spam it.
Other healers have about the same throughput with cast heals. No one is taking anyone from 20% to 100% with a single spell, or even two or three. About the best we can do is:
Specced just specifically for this (Soul of the Forest), if you Swiftmend (to get Soul of the Forest)+ Nature's Swiftness with 4pc PvP bonus, Rejuv will crit/hit for about 120K, and plant a 60k living seed, for a total of 180K, on ~350K HP pools (or higher). And that's maximum spec just to get the biggest Rejuv you can.instantly every minute,
The above combo will eat 20% of my mana in one go.without a single mana worry.
