Fix my DK DPS v2

Got a couple solid runs down, so now I'm looking for some Unholy feedback. Armory link below is updated, at least for me. I've had this DK since late MoP, but it's only been my main for this expansion. So, I'm new to this whole DK raiding thing. I've read the icy-veins guides as well as the resources on these forums many times, and I've run come compares via warcraftlogs. I'm looking for some solid feedback.

This is an optional guild run that is usually an alt run when we're further into expansions. Used it to really test my dps in a forgiving environment. My legendary dropped of of Nyth! From there, I definitely noticed a difference.

Question (BE VERY SPECIFIC):what can Seporlith do to increase performance on xavius it says he is doing 34%perf how can he raise it say 80? or 90, what is he doing wrong?

Question (BE VERY SPECIFIC):
Unless I die, for my ilvl range, I generally get blue or higher rankings (for my ilvl range!). Lower on a mechanics fight like Elerenthe or Il'Gnyoth, especially if there's a lot of movement. This is less a "Fix my DPS" post, and more of a "Did I get everything analyzing my own logs" post, so I can analyze my own logs. I wanted to make sure that I caught everything.

Problems: low FP damage due to sitting on runes. Probably the biggest thing. Too much focus on keeping IT up and high, leading to FP uptime issues. (I know I stare at IT stacks too much even while playing). Too many Oblits cast when taking Fscythe. Not enough uses of Remorseless Winter to get rid of single runes when not FScythe. Possibly using HB when I shouldn't bother even with Rime. Sometimes accidentally hitting OB over FScythe for KM procs. Mediocre or bad ERW useage.

The good: very little RP waste. Decent IT uptime, except on hectic Il'Gnyoth.

Misc: I'm trying to get an 840+ Faulty Countermeasure, but I just can't get any luck on that. Also, close to 10 days played at 110, and no Legendary, and I got my first 865 raid piece today, and there's others in my raid group already at 857 ilvl overall. My only source of loot is raid and regular mythic dungeons - I don't do Mythic +. Since I switch between RA/OB and FScythe for ST/AoE(still feel uncomfortable with ST FScythe useage and IT uptime), I'm keeping haste and crit kind of close. Hence gem/enchant choices. This gear also overlaps partially with Blood, so that's another reason for the haste.

Question (BE VERY SPECIFIC): I'm being a little indulgent here with this one, I'm fairly happy with my DPS. I'm phrasing regularly in the mid 95 percentile, and the bell curve around the lower (high 80s) will smooth out I expect to the 90-95% as it always does.

However, I'm consider myself a reasonably advanced user. I sim, I compare, I adjust. That said I'm still simming at 250k which is basically exactly on par for multiple log reports. I would appreciate if anyone familiar with the top end of raiding can take a look. As you would expect being a DK myself and our other have been benched for most of our mythic progression. We're sitting at 5/7 just now top fifty EU last time I checked so we're pushing the top end here and I'm not expecting wonders when it comes to analysis but I would appreciate a 2nd or 3rd pair of eyes taking a look.

For the sake of making sure I'm covering all my bases I thought I'd come to you wonderful people and throw my hat in the ring. To confirm, we are pushing world ranks and I'm just looking for other perspectives.

He has pretty ok Crit, a ok legendary (but not the OP Bracer) and (he says) he is playing the rotation/prio pretty good with the one or other small fuck up, but his dps is pretty shit, after some sims he switched to Ursoc Paw (865) and the Darkmoon Thing (850) as trinkets.

From that log everything looks pretty good outside from the fact he isn't using his cooldowns. He used Apocalypse once, and Soul Reaper twice. These are our two most important abilities and contribute to a substantial DPS gain. He's also missing a reasonably high amount of times for what is in effect a patchwork style fight for the most part. Make sure he's behind the boss & using Apocalypse every 90 seconds.

The rotation should all for you to use 2 soul reapers per Apocalypse, so on your 1st, 3rd, 5th Soul Reapers you can and should use Apocalypse to burst wounds to activate Soul Reaper.

Question: I just feel like my overall dps has been very low. I don't know if it's gear or I'm not using CDs at the right times or what. I see other DKs around my ilvl doing 210k+ and I'm starting to get frustrate. All the sims I've run have told me to get as much versatility as possible, which I did at one point but my dps dropped. I've switched enchants, talents and gems so many times to little effect. I don't know if that's specific enough or not.

QuestionMy dps feels low for my ilvl. I'm unsure if I've itemized wrong, or if my rotation isn't quite right. I think i should be at least another 50k higher than I am on bosses, but for whatever reason it isn't, and I can't seem to figure out why.

Question (BE VERY SPECIFIC):

I need some help with my dps. I thought i was doing okay until i saw people pulling 100k+ dps on the same fights with the same ilvl. I've tried to keep my haste above 20% while still getting as much crit as possible. Which isn't much i'm afraid. Unfortunately the log is missing data from nythendra and ursoc but it's my first log so i guess it will have to do.

Hey! I'm an 865 unh death knight, my guild just started doing mythic ursoc. My logs haven't been too great, hitting around 245k dps on our best pull. I'd really like to know what is personal error on the fight, what is character/build error, and what is just the class being undertuned. If anyone could take a look at some of the ursoc logs and also my armory page i'd really appreciate it! Don't be afraid to be harsh, I'm just trying to get better.

Well, off the bat I see a few issues. I don't know how well I can speak, but I'm about your ilvl, and I'm averaging about 300-314k per attempt. My weakest attempt to date is 279k.

All Will Serve is not great for Mythic Ursoc; it's a sporadic add cleave fight, not pure single target, and you do spend a rather prodigious amount of time out of range of the boss. You can get quite a bit of damage out of bursting sores, the add spawns correspond almost perfectly to the natural cooldown of Dark Transformation. Infected Wounds is also correspondingly better here than Shadow Infusion, in my humble opinion.

Secondarily, looking at your gear, your stats are all over the place... it seems like you're going for ilvl over proper stat delegation. I've found the best DPS from leaning heavily on Crit after reaching about 20% Haste. At a similar gear level I have just over 42% Crit, and maybe half a percent under 20% Haste. Mastery is a bit weak at the moment and you've got considerably more Mastery than I do.

Last but not least, Deadly Grace is way more damage for us as Unholy than Old War is.

Thanks for replying. I see the issue with all will serve for sure. Can you explain why you think infected wounds is better here, just because of bursting sores?
I actually do try to get crit and haste whenever possible and have sacrificed ilvl for it before. I guess I'm just unlucky in that respect.

Also, deadly grace? Are you sure? Every single top parse log I've seen uses old war.

Hey everyone. I am currently in a raiding guild and we are pushing progression. I have recently adopted bursting sores and infected claws over AWS and Necrosis. I seem to put up some subpar numbers overall though. I would really like to increase my DPS as this is my first time raiding as a melee DPS as well as first time raiding in a few expansions.
