Nerf Chess

I have a 9-5 job and I'm very busy so I don't have time to learn to play chess properly. Please nerf chess for example buff the King so it can counter check on its own. Also nerf Queen too OP, no piece should ever have the freedom to move almost anywhere, and we need 3 extra pawns for the game to be competitive and better balanced.

Pawn needs a bit of a buff as well it's a bit too weak atm. OMG

Spend a few minutes watching a video of how to beat the chess event and your problem is solved. It's easy once you know how.

and while we're at it why doesn't Cluedo have quest markers on the board to indicate which room to accuse the guilty party in? also nerf the snakes in Snakes & Ladders and hotfix Where's Wally to stop people crowding around the quest NPC

I think the game you are looking for is called draughts (or checkers in the US). The rules are stream-lined so you can pick it up quicker and certain QoL tweaks (like the ability to take multiple pieces in a turn) makes the game-length shorter.

indeed, although I don't think the original poster was serious. but I do remember back in junior school they had a chess set built into the garden area with painted stones as the pieces, but most students used it for draughts instead since a: chess was considered "nerdy" and b: there wouldn't be time for a game of chess even during lunch hour
