Political stupidity aside, AP courses aren't exactly good things in the first place. They've been criticized plenty for overwhelming students with more work than they can handle on a daily basis. Seriously, just because you're a good student, doesn't mean that you should be required to spend 7~ hours in school, 1 hour getting there and home, (possibly) 2 hours~ on extracurricular activities and 3 hours on homework every night. It's absolute insanity for these kids that want to get into a moderately good university.

People wonder why kids get stressed out and do crazy shit when they're "good students". It's because we're working them like slave laborers for 9 months at a time over 4 years.

AP classes are pretty pointless because all it does is hurt your GPA as opposed to just shifting it in easy mode.

My high school weighted AP courses differently than other courses, so it did help your gpa if you took them and did well in them. Plus they give college credit.
