Political stupidity aside, AP courses aren't exactly good things in the first place. They've been criticized plenty for overwhelming students with more work than they can handle on a daily basis. Seriously, just because you're a good student, doesn't mean that you should be required to spend 7~ hours in school, 1 hour getting there and home, (possibly) 2 hours~ on extracurricular activities and 3 hours on homework every night. It's absolute insanity for these kids that want to get into a moderately good university.
People wonder why kids get stressed out and do crazy shit when they're "good students". It's because we're working them like slave laborers for 9 months at a time over 4 years.
