Quick hunter question (survive)

For survival and pve or pvp if theres any difference. When you get explosive shot procs, do you spam them back to back or are you supposed to use one and let it get all the ticks then use another. Only reason I ask is because I dont see more than one debuff on them so am I just waisting them if I spam them?
