But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. After 10 minutes, users can only receive files from contacts.
Apple did not explain why the update was first introduced in China, but over the years, the tech giant has been criticised for appeasing Beijing.
I don't understand how people can even think about how this is a good, taxdollars saving idea.
It costs more to execute a criminal than to imprison him/her for life, scrapping the last meal isn't even going to show a small dent in the budget.
Then again, idiots think the judgmental system exists to forfill their revenge fantasies... bunch of fools if you ask me.

With that graph we can easily conclude that the increase in gun sales has NOTHING to do with drop in crime rate though. Just look at it. For most of the time the crime rate fluctuates like a yoyo during the biggest increase in gun sales. Then during the last few years it plummets while gun ownership rises at its lowest level. There is no causation or real correlation here.
