    The correct British pronunciation is "shed", but I say "sked" because I'm weird.

    Edit: Or because that's the Scottish way of saying it (have a Scottish family) and English pronounce it "shed."

    Nah, you pronounce it the way who never heard it pronounced the right way when they were learning the language do.
    That being said, just switch to a language that has proper representation of the spoken words in writing. =P

    But speaking of things said differently between the US and the UK- I love how British people say "at all" as "ah-Tall" where as Americans say it more like "ad-all".

    From Australia and I think I've only ever really heard it as Sked, Like School. Since I don't say Shool.
